Just wanted to say thanks to those Rook pilots from last night that joined my Pickup Missions. 

It always makes me sigh watching single pilot after single pilot saunter towards some dar bar ready to take on the other country by themselves... :headscratch:

Last night I was actually surprised like it was the first time I played the game, we had 11 randoms + a squad member in second P38L attack mission.  Those that know me, know i'm a Jug-head (or spixteen dweeb that warps because he can't fly the spixteen eh Rud3?  :devil)

But it's just nice to fly as a group sometimes, including, dare I say it, NOT MAX throttle.... Group up, wing in tight, and head to towards the bad guy area to make some boom sounds... Loved it!

I'm getting a little better at timing of the Pickup Missions, the lead time needs to be enough for some people to finish their current sortie, either by death or RTB. THEN you need to have a little time to climb out, on a straight from runway heading, so that all involved can actually get winged up in a tight little formation (because it feels so darn good knowing there's another human right with you)... Lastly, try and make the target something that has vehicle spawns going into it... I accidentally tuned to the GV frequency to hear a few complaints about my "Mission" targets from GV command; i quickly turned off the radio as my brain already has a full "cuss" section.  :neener:

You're never going to make everyone happy with rides, and tactics, blah blah blah, but at the very least,

I appreciate those who joined up because that type of gameplay is why I fell in love with this game...

 :aok YUP, if not for the Mission Guys...I probably would have quit...frustrated to death :uhoh   They were the HOOK...and I loved it :rock

Don't fly rooks now, but Pickup Missions are always great. Need more of then across all 3 countries. :cheers:
