The floor is open. Give us a year, terrain and list some planes you would like to see given our current plane set. ;) Remember each Tour is about 3 or 4 weeks.

I think Dieppe would be great.
It's probably one of the earliest war battles we could do with our current planeset (Aug '42), but we do already have almost everything we'd need.
Spits V and IX, 109s F or G2, 190A5s, JU88s, Tiffies, and B17s. Mainly lots and lots of spits and 190s!
Add to that landing craft, many ships off the coast, mannable gun emplacements on the shore, and maybe even a few 'E-Boats'.
All that's left are Do217s, Bostons, Hurribombers, and Mustang Is. None of which are absolutely vital, but would be great to have.
Even though the Raid on Dieppe was only one day, it could make a good 3 week Tour.
The first night of the tour could represent the landings, and increasing battle intensity until the order for the withdrawal at 11 am. The second night of the tour could cover most of the withdrawal. The third would cover the end of the day when the weather started getting cloudy -- although the withdrawl wouldn't end until after dark, the Luftwaffe mounted raids on British airfields and shipping in the deteriorating weather.
Another night could even be added in the middle. The air battle around Dieppe lasted from just after dawn until after dark. Four 2-hour 'frames' wouldn't even cover the whole day.
Anyway, I find the air battle around Dieppe a very interesting subject, and I'd love to get the chance to fly in it.

I used to have a bunch, here are some that work. I stumbled on one that I hadn't seen before earlier today, so I'm gonna have to search around again sometime just to see what I can find.

The very best source for info about the air battle during the Raid on Dieppe is the book The Greatest Air Battle : Dieppe, 19th August 1942 by Norman L.R. Franks (http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/ASIN/0948817585/o/qid%3D943851519/sr%3D8-1/104-6895227-1411906).
There are also a few books that have small sections on the raid--Wing Leader by Group Captain J. E. Johnson, American Pilots in the RAF by Philip D. Caine, and JG 26 Top Guns of the Luftwaffe by Donald L Caldwell (http://www.butler98.freeserve.co.uk/tguns.htm) all have nice little sections.
And if you happen to know +Tiff from AW, he's an excellent source for any WWII info, and the Raid on Dieppe is an area he studied or researched or something (can't remember exactly what) in college.

A couple years ago I played with the idea of an AW Dieppe event. Although I did a full preliminary write-up, it was just a diversion for me to keep occupied while bad things were going on around me. The only thing I ever did with it was post it for my friends to see. just an idea...i don't know much about the battle so i can't really tell you what hardware was involved
would be interesting to see if the japanese could turn the tide in that battle.

I agree with Sancho, we could plenty of Northern late War germany campaigns, we have a great deal of the late war plane set. Maybe able even to do the Battle of Britton, just we would have NO Hurricains, or HE111 or Do177s, but we could do without them. But I would like to see a good late war set up between the US, UK and Germany, most defintly the 8th AF raids on Germany or maybe the raids on Southern Germany and northern Italy...... But thats just my oppinion.

AN I have copied much of your material. Not sure how it would work in one TOD, but certainly a frame of a TOD is doable. :)
Pug that sounds good, esp when we aquire more of a "Pacific" plane set.

Yup Steven! Some of my favorite tour ideas are Pacific! Love those CV hunt and seek wars. ;) Again we will have to wait for more of a Pacific plane set to do several of those.

Skernsk Battle of Brittain for sure! Doolittle Raid is more of a single event, like a Snapshot. Midway would work great with the terrain and more of an early war plane set.

Norway shipping strikes-
We need Mosquitos to attack German shipping in the fjords of Norway. The existing Norway terrain is well suited.
Mosquitos coming in fast and under 100' with Spitfires to cover them and protect against FW 190s and BF109s. Targets would include ships and possible land based hard targets. Rockets, bombs and heavy canon slamming into naval targets. Naval gunners trying to shoot down the Mossies and PTs serving as German E Boats joining in the fray. Meanwhile, 190s and 109s scramble to respond to the attacks.

Well, how about the air war over Western Europe from 1941 to 1942, all we need is Spit5 and FW190A5 & 109F4
changing after a while to
Spit5 & spit9 and 190A5 & 109F4, 109G2
This part of the war, as you probably all know, saw the RAF mounting "raids" on France, either escorting light bombers to draw up the LW, fighter ground attacks or doing fighter sweeps, all the while with limited Luftwaffe resources as they'd mostly gone East.
It could incorporate the "Channel Dash"
It would change part way through, to end the "Focke-Wulf summer", and introduce the spit9 and final frame > end up with the 1st American 8TH B-17 raid with P-47 escorts as well as RAF escorts.
