Back when they used to have conventions for AH, they'd have the secret con mission which would involve something special for the attendees.  The Claw was from that.  There was a giant mothership flying near them, maybe they launched from it.

It was a good bit of fun, lasted about a half day if I remember right.

I flew against Claws that night, probably the most fun and most memorable night in AH in nearly 20 years of playing the game.  I wish I'd gone to that con.  Just watching them and listening to the guys flying them describing it was pretty cool, I wish there was some videos kicking around still, I lost all of mine.

They should do a night every few months where all the evil con rides are available. Claw vs flying pt vs shark with laser beams vs rv8 with gatling guns vs super tank sheep ect.

It was the 2010 convention.. I was there.. took a lot of pictures..

At dinner, when Dale ( HTC ) was describing what we were about to enter...   his eyes were afire with joy.. it was a freakin' hoot.
