a. All the selectable skins made in Aces High come from community members.
b. Of all the hundreds of aircraft and vehicle skins submitted, hours of careful research go into all the skins including peer review for historical accuracy.
c. In addition to the peer review, HTC has strict guidelines on what kinds of skins are allowed to be submitted. Guidelines include that all skins must have been used operationally during the wars and 100% historically accuracy. No exceptions. No pink mustangs or bolts. (Sorry Brooks :neener:)
e. In addition to the hours of research that goes into a skin, all require hours of work for several graphical layers required on the skin that allows it to look realistic in-game.
f. All the custom skin graphic artists do it on their free time.
So, if you have a moment, don't forget to drop by the Custom Skins (http://bbs.hitechcreations.com/smf/index.php/board,71.0.html) forum and check out all the awesome work going on. And don't forget to pay compliments to the graphic artists who give up their free time to make this part of the game great.

It’s an outrage! :old:

Now, if only we could easily distinguish updated skins from "old" skins, we'd all look better. :devil
Salute skinners!

I would say the skins download page is a partial help. Any skins there with icons are probably updated. Any orphans are probably not if you check that listing.

Yeah, I've said it before, just give the user, in game, an easy way to tell which skins are updated for AH3, that would be super nice. No biggie...

An asterisk for AH2 skins would definitely help. Post in WISHLIST and see if Skuzzy can get that done somehow. It may be a bit of work though. Not sure how that goes from a coding standpoint.

Well this Pink-40 is "historically correct".

Well, I don’t think it saw combat and wouldn’t pass the ops requirements but wow. A pepto pink kitty!

It's an attempt to show the "pink fade" of the desert camo P-40s. It's too glossy and too pink. A bit of artistic license. The owner, Suzanne Parish, was a WASP and flew during the war. She and her husband founded the Kalamazoo Air Zoo I believe... She flew that thing into her 70s...
