An update to Wee Willie flown by Lt. Bill Eddins (previous thread here: http://bbs.hitechcreations.com/smf/index.php/topic,387322.0.html).
This is the last of my P-51Ds to undergo the NMF update. Still can't seem to get the screenshots to behave. The red bleeds a tiny bit in the photos, but not in the game... :bhead

P-51D-20-NA, s/n 44-63490
"WEE WILLIE" - QP*C
Lt. Bill Eddins
52nd Fighter Group, 2nd Fighter Squadron
Italy, 1944
P-51D-20-NA "WEE WILLIE" (2nd FS, 52nd FG, Italy, coded QP*C) was flown by Lt. Bill Eddins, the cousin of Aces High member TMetal. This Mustang features the distinct red lettering of the 2nd FS and is interesting in that it has the all-yellow tail but only the inner wing theater bands.
The 52nd FG was twice awarded the Presidential Unit Citation. After conversion to Mustangs in April-May 1944 the Group concentrated primarily on bomber escort, but still engaged in strafing attacks on targets in Italy, France, Central Europe, and the Balkans before returning to the US in August of 1945.

It only bleeds red if you forget to wear your oxygen max at higher altitudes. :neener:
Another great update Vee. :salute

Thanks, dude. I wish I could take screenshots like Greebo and Devil do it. I am doing something wrong. :bhead

Nice upgrade Vraciu.
I can't see anything much wrong with your screenshots. Personally I'd make the image size a bit bigger and zoom in a bit more on the subject so it fills the frame more, but that's about it. The main thing is you've got the lighting angle right, so it shows the sun's reflections on the skin.

Thanks man. You’re always so positive in your commentary. Pure class.
We talked about this before and I forget your loutish, but one thing I see when I zoom in is a distortion of the skin. It’s similar to taking a shot before hitting the zoom button. The closer I get the more it throws the perspective off.
Also, the [ ] bracket key zoom is super sensitive. It will move a long way even with just a momentary key press. Is there a way to slow that down to gain a more precise control over it?

stupid question, but are you taking your screen shots in zoom mode, by hitting the Z key, before positioning the camera?
If you are not in zoom, then things will go fish-eye.

I hit the Z key to zoom in then use [ ] to customize. But the bracket zoom is not precise. I undershoot and overshoot the spot I want. I wish there was a slow zoom feature (maybe using the shift key or something) to slow it down. It's a gross adjustment rather than a fine one.

The other thing you could do to lose the fish eye effect is to reduce the game's field of view when taking screenshots and then change it back again when playing the game.

That's it. I remember you saying that before, now. Still not sure what to do about the zooming thing being so uncontrollable. Might be a Wishlist thing.
