Title: whats the radar settings for this TOD?

is this event catering to Lazs and akdejavu in that it will have inflight radar and sector bars?

or are we actually gonna try to give ourselves some ground control from a player in the tower and disable inflight MA Awacs madness?

My plan is to have dar off. Though Ronni just gave us a couple more options for dar that I am looking into. One is dots and bars off for nap of the earth flying.  :) We can set that to 500' or 1000'

Plan on dar off, but if I can figure out a setting for tower only, 1 sector range, dots only and then off dar if below 500' I might try that.

I will let you all know prior to the event.

what about tower only radar dots and no inflight sector or dot dar?

no dar at all is to little info

and inflight dar in any form will totally wreck the event's immersiveness

basically I want warbirds S3 radar and icon settings.

You and me both fester. Problem is that is not an option we have right now.

Dar settings are problematic to say the least. I can't please everyone and I will not try. If we have any dar on, what players see from the tower we will see from our aircraft.  :( So we have two choices. Dar off, or dar on. I am going with dar off because no matter what, if dar is on in any capacity, (bars or dots) you will be able to view it from your ac.

I think for any PTO event that will have quite a few CV's dar will be on, but the tower range will be set to "1" sector. Anything more than 1 sector from a friendly base or CV will be off dar. The Philippines has a LOT of water and I don't want squads flying around every frame for 2 hours without any action.
