Title: Shono's Ki-61

Thanks to Lyric1 for finding the info for this skin.

This Ki-61 was flown by the CO of the 244th FG's 1st squadron Captain Fumisuke Shono while based at Chofu AB to the west of Tokyo in late February 1945. It featured a distinctive red lightning bolt on either side of its fuselage. While originally camouflaged on its upper surfaces with a solid green scheme most of this green paint was stripped off in early 1945, presumably the idea was the reduction in weight and drag would help it to intercept B-29s. The fabric control surfaces were initially left green, perhaps due to balance issues or worries the stripping agent might affect the fabric. Later in 1945 as US fighters became an increasing danger over Japan a mottled scheme of green was reapplied to its upper surfaces.

For this skin the approximate grey shades RGB greyscale shades (where 0,0,0 is black and 255,255,255 is white) are as follows:

Specular map:- metal=100, painted=50
Power map:- metal=28, painted=19
Environment map:- metal=49, painted=17
