38 Bishops on, and total of both other teams was 38. the only other base that was flashing was a knight base near a strat. ENY for Bish was 29.. and basically the odds were about even. and Bish upping Warhawks and Ki 43s against Spit 8s and Doras. I can see why players may seek other entertainment options on a Sunday morning. What is the percentage of players that are for ENY the way it is. May us a formulation of the 2 op/for teams against the lone one and raise ENY value on some of the planes and GVs. Does the Competitors War sim games use a similar formula to AH3 ENY?

Welcome to Aces High weekend play. I mean there are certain ones that only use the weekend for score.

What is the percentage of players that are for ENY the way it is.
50%.
What's happening isn't random, but self-reenforcing. It's more fun to kill than being killed. Hence it's more fun to fly against an enemy with lesser planes. That's true for both countries with the numerical disavantage. The consequence the situation you described.

I logged in 30 minutes ago. Still on. Bish had a few more players than knights. Rooks had the lowest. I'm a knight. Within 30 minutes. All #s were practically even. Rooks had 6 less. No fights for the rooks. They should be taking bases back. Bish and knights will fight for hours trying to take their bases for the win. Knigts and bish both own 25% of rook fields. Knights are currently winning the battle now. Unfortunately on this map would take a while for a rook to join the fight. Rooks have a great chance to take some bases back and start fights.

CCVI I would rather go to the strong side because there are more targets., but many would rather win a map than play. like the old early mid war. 15 players on and all 1 team... laughable. Your's though , the only reply that merits any thought. the rest just trollers. My point is ENY doesn't do what it is designed to. and that is level the playing field.

The best fix for BOWLMA is to do the WHEEL OF FORTUNE method I advocated long ago, where each island alternates to a different country all the way around the horn. ROOK KNIGHT BISH ROOK NIGHT BISH ROOK NIGHT BISH. That way every country can get to every front with minimal effort. As it is now, when the Bish Nit pursefight is ignoring Rooks we can fly half way across the map or sit and twiddle our thumbs.

Yeah, ENY is one of those things :bhead I understand WHY it is and WHAT its for,in THEORY at least...but cant wrap my head around what it DOES. To me, it is more a PLACEBO type thing, Sure it sucks to be on the SEAL side, no matter what you are getting hit with. Maybe ENY just means that at least the CLUBBERS arent using Firearms and Aluminum Baseball Bats? As that would be so much worse? Thats how it works, or seems to work from my way of looking at it. Even the side with the ENY can get to play the role of SEAL CUB at times, THIS to me is when ENY really SUCKS. Its hard to up a Ki-43 to stop a swarm of 262s and Tempests swarming your field....yes SOMETIMES THAT IS FUN. It would be more fun IMO to actually be able to up something more capable for defense-(true that is probably the only reason the other side is there, better plane=better odds)...guess I can at least be happy with the fact that AT LEAST there is a fight :rofl

Thats sort of like the way BUZZSAW is..well as far as each team with in easy distance to strike at each other. Its the MOST HATED map we have :headscratch: Thats what I LIKE about Buzzsaw...I can find ANY STYLE of fight I want..even a fight against static buildings if I am feeling anti-social :uhoh

It's not hated because of that (Buzzkill is nothing like what I've described above). It's hated because it is a goofy map. Part of the problem for me is how cluttered it looks. My ADD relapses when I see it.
BowlMA is very well laid out, logical, easy to grasp at a glance. Buzzkill looks like a Methhead's nightmare. :devil

Well yes,I have to agree,it is jumbled a bit :uhoh Action is pretty easy to find though. I am not an AESTHETIC type of player. I see you being like that though, as with SKINNING Planes it is all ABOUT the aesthetics. I am just, look at that RED GUY...hope he wore his Brown pants :devil

Blinded by being on the high number team. Switch sides.

Why are there so many bish?
They need the crutch of having a lot of friends to win.

 :bolt: you really think there is a difference in the way a country plays?? As an occasional side switcher in my experience I would disagree

As I always say, all sides are more alike than different.

Good Morning, So earlier there were 19 Knights and 11 Rooks on, 7 Bishops. All Knights and Rooks were competing against The Bishop team. That ii about 4 to 1 odds.... like I stated. The fairest ENY formula would be to combine the total of the 2 opposing team against the numbers of the single team. I mean If you wanted to even things up and keep players from disengaging. It seams pretty simple. And to several of You repliers. If You don't have any intellectual input, It is best just not to add anything. Have a Blast.

You never hear M-8 drivers complaining about ENY. The M-8 never goes to that yellow color in the GV lineup.
I just don't understand why so many bullies have to pick on my
poor harmless little M-8. After all, I was just taking pictures. Even Scotty hunts me down with a T-34/85. He no longer comes out of the vh hanger
in his Volkswagen H.
What is the AH world coming to anyway?
:D
-
Mano,
You could always bully back with the M3\75 just to watch 200 along with forum wishes to perk the 75mm for being over modeled. Your survival rate would probably be about the same.
-
I don't know if you remember Irwin. He was really good in the M-3. He would often go land 10 kills in it. He would sit between trees and
shoot his prey coming off the spawn. Good player.....don't know what happened to him. He lives in Panama.
Not, to hijack this thread, but there are lots and lots of gv's and planes that are not perked and are very effective no matter what kind
of perked rides are about. You just have to spend time with them and get familiar with their positive attributes.
:salute

The M-3 with the Howitzer is allot of fun. It is great for shelling a field when you are high up on a hill overlooking a base.
Two shots take out ammo bunkers, fuel tanks, radar, and barracks.
It can tuck into some trees and even a storch cannot find it. I wish it was as fast as the M-8. :D

ENY is not a problem.

As an occasional side switcher myself, I have strong opinions about how each country plays; and yes, they play differently; but (and this is important) they play differently depending on numbers and time of day. All opinions below based on Pacific Standard Time.
The rooks are typically at a numerical disadvantage in early morning hours, and are just out there for points and the occasional denial of base takes. When they have a numerical advantage in late afternoons they actually roll bases, depending on who is on to lead them.
The knights have numbers early on and typically move on the outnumbered rooks, shifting over to attack the bishops a bit too late, tactically speaking. be-cause...
The bishops tend to have the numbers and the will to roll maps and win them. They are weakest and dumbest in mid-afternoon (again, PST) and often get double-teamed then and lose momentum and focus. But bish tend to have the numbers because people who play to win gravitate to that side.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
It's an interesting and complicated dynamic because certain players (J0ker and crew for the bishops, for example; ZENSEN and whomever follows him for the rooks) change the rules, so to speak; and if, like me, you really want to help your team win, you have to watch the roster to see who is on and figure out what is going to happen and how best to take advantage or counter it with whatever skills you possess. It's one of the reasons I love this game: it can be such a chess match at times! :-)

Ridiculous. What if both other teams aren't fighting just the one side? Should their numbers then be counted against you?

Exactly!
One should never base their 'logical stance' on flawed presumption.

I love when this happens as long as it is the country that I am on that is getting jumped. No long flights at all.... they come to you and keeps on a comin'. Makes for good fights and fun driving them back.
