Anyone running this game through your TV? Just curious if it works ok? I've got a 65" TV that I can hook up once I fire the game back up. Any insight?

Gotta have a real nice TV and id think it would work. I tried it on a middle of the road vizio and it looked pretty crappy. Very pixelated

Yea I've got a vizio so that answers my question... I appreciate it..

What's the resolution of the TV and how close do you plan on sitting? I have a cheap 55" 4K TV and it looks good 4 ft away.

I use a 42 inch Insignia through an HDMI cable running off a NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1060 6GB . I have no issues with any kind of blurring or tearing.

What FLS posted....
But you need a decent graphics card to run it through the 4 K resolution hdmi port....which I think looks outstanding
Still looks good in 1080i mode on my 55" curved screen also....and 4 to 6 feet away most definitely

There's a few things to consider.
- Resolution/pixel density. The more dots you have on a certain area the closer you can watch without seeing pixels instead of details. Then again, the higher the resolution the better video card you'd need.
- Pixel size. If you like the looks of Minecraft, large pixels aren't an issue. Your own eyes are the best tool here.
- Input lag, which means how long it takes for the TV to show an image processed in the video card. Some TV's work faster with computers than others, there's charts in the Internet about it. You don't want to be half a dozen frames behind what's really happening!
- Compatibility. Although you can connect basically any TV to any computer, you may not necessarily get the refresh rate you'd need for maximum FPS. Especially with 4K you'd need both a strong video card and a certain type/generation of cable to get past 30 Hz/FPS.
If your 65" TV and your computer have a matching pair of connectors, you can't break anything by just hooking them together. If the result pleases you, the most important player will be happy.

Excellent post..Bizman , especially #4
Edit: RE reading your list, I would actually invert it 4 = 1, 3 = 2, 2 = 3, 1 = 4...

Anybody with a TV should check settings for "game mode".
It may help or make it worse.

I have been running through a little 40" LG tv since coming back. Works fine connected with HDMI. I use nvidia control panel to adjust screen to fit.

23" monitor. Higher refresh rate and is much easier on the eyes when sitting 2-3 feet away. 4k is also nice

With my 40" monitor/TV I can reach around your monitor and slap you with a dead trout. :neener:
