Good show. Novel was better. Had to return the DVDs because they weren’t captioned (I watched them first).
The last dogfight is pretty good. In its day it was a refreshing show.

I remember watching it years ago. I little more nuance than the typical fair.

Do that. Derek Robinson wrote a series of books - IIRC, the WWI book was first (Goshawk Squadron?) - and they're all quite good. Piece of Cake is the best, though. The American character is based on a real person.

As OM said that was the WWI book. It was good but POC was definitely his best. You can see the influence of the former in the latter. Enjoy it. Then grab “Tale of a Guinea Pig” by Geoffrey Page for the true story.
