Title: TE Weirdness
Post by: ghostdancer on October 20, 2018, 11:02:55 AM
Okay, I have been having a weird issue with the TE and want to see if it is just me or others are having it. I completely took AH off my computer and then reinstalled it fresh.

The issue I am having is when I open up a previous terrain and go look at field the field is marked as Country owned instead of field own. The country number is what the field number was. So in this case on blacksea I went and inspected field 103 and it is showing it as owned by Country 103.

Anybody else having this issue? Or is intended and I just missed reading about the change?

This happens to me when I open my terrains to look at how I setup an object since Hitech rolled out the path system. When I open a field properties page half the time the ownership and country object designation will either be wrong or change if I hit ok to close it after inspecting it. I've had to resort to manually making sure everything is correct then hitting OK in some cases. It screws with opening strats and I've had feilds I didn't realize were changed on me create back track headaches to the point I had to read the oba file line by line to figure out this new feature. And doing the renaming in the oba file didn't work, I had to visit each object and fix it in the properties page then hit OK.

It really scared the heck out of me when I was fixing terrain bug report issues on Oceania. I thought I had screwed Hitech's version of my terrain.

Well the good thing then is I am not crazy ... the bad is well, that this behavior exists.

I noticed as well while busy chasing another issue.

Has anyone posted in the bug forum? If not I'll post there and reference this thread.
