Instead of Eny or maybe in conjunction with it, at the beginning of a map only have early planes and tanks available then a week later release the mid war stuff, then a week later the late war stuff. Or at least divide up the time somewhat evenly. Not sure the average time a map is up but seem to be up forever!!!

Instead of saying "no", how about explaining your answer?
What original poster mentions is close to a rolling planeset but the crux of the matter is that the spoiled pilots of aces high want all the new planes all of the time.
I've done rolling planeset and it was always a joy to log in to find that my favorite plane is now available.......but only from the rear fields until a little later where it becomes available arena wide.
There are just too many guys here who's virtual lives depend on running away so it's late war iron only for them.

because most people want to play the plane they choose everyday. this has been proposed many times, it's always been a bad idea.

We really need something to break up the monotony of the main arena. I literally fight the same people every night in the same vehicles. While it is sometimes fun to fight late war stuff with early war stuff, you just end up getting your bellybutton kicked unnecessarily and go back to your familiar ride. Something has to be done to add a bit of variety to this game.

Fly in the AvA tonight. That more closely aligns with what you are looking for. Fly in the special events. They are more aligned with what you are looking for. I wish more planes would be perked to prevent so much late war planes/tanks, but that is inevitably up to Hitech. I just don't think limiting the MA without the opportunity to fly your plane is the best approach.

you ever think that most people have a few preferred rides and if they cant fly them, they will just log off. remember when people asked for ew and mw arena and they were basically empty except for the occasional squad night there?
I fly in fso most of the time. most of the time I dont like the rides I fly. you know why I put up with it? because my squad makes it fun. but that is only 1 hour a week. however some of the fun is taken away because I am in a plane I am not interested in flying. you force me to fly for 2 or 3 weeks in planes I am not interested in flying, I just wont log in. and trust me there's a lot of people that wont like to be forced to fly in planes they have no interest in.
then you start questioning why am I paying 15 bucks a month to only play 1 week out of the month when my prefered plane is available.

Midwar had some pretty good turnouts on a regular basis.
Tonight the place to be is AVA MNM. (Monday Night Madness)
Monday Night Madness is a blast. No egos, no climbing. Tune to vox 223 and go at it. Two teams and no score. Watch for the tall buildings... they are unforgiving. Be advised icon distances are short so head on a swivel.

Midwar would have been great on a map like Smog8 was. 8 bases on each side. Easy to read and follow map. Close bases. Never got tired of it in h2h. With slower planes you need smaller maps.
AvA is super fun BTW!!

No. Rolling plane sets would suck in the Melee arena.

In H2H you only needed 2 bases to have a blast. My Shuff's Paradise had 3.
