I remember playing that game back in the day, around 2007 or so.  I think the game has had newer releases since then.
I played on PC at the time and had a pretty cheap video card.

Looks to be just a game. You still need a video card for your machine.

With a question like that it makes me wonder how you determined your current video card is truly broken and you're not having some other issue.   :headscratch:

I am computer illiterate. but I know when my video card is dead

No one is attacking your knowledge. He just would like to make sure the card is bad. Folks here would like to help. I have still notunpacked the box that has my cards in it. I have a lot of unpacking to do. When and if I find them, I will send them. I am just east of Houston.

Yes, wasn't an attack.   Just wanted to make sure you took all the steps to confirm it was dead before spending your money or going through the trouble of getting a new card.  There are a lot of smart people on this forum that could help confirm your card is dead and that it wasn't something as simple as pulling the card cleaning and reseating it or a driver issue, etc..

You may have done all that, but again your question in this thread leads me to suspect you didn't.  That's all I meant.

probably a waste of time-but time is what I have plenty of-so I will try cleaning and reinstall tomorrow when I get back from san Antonio. it won't hurt to try.

Company of Heroes and Company of Heroes 2 are great games. The first is not that taxing on your system, but the second may require a little better rig. I suppose a few squaddies and myself have close to 1,000 hours or more on Company of Heroes.
