Can't be any worse than Battlefield V.

Can't be any worse than Battlefield V.
...if I could play it. I get a CTD 5 minutes into the campaign and can't even get the multiplayer to load without dumping me to my desktop. And their help analyst told me to re-install Win10 and I then told them to ask them that was perhaps the worst troubleshooting solution ever out there - and lazy and for them to just fix the fracking game.

I'm all in for HLL  :)

No airplanes, no thanks.

Looks like a fps with gvs.

I watched the video. I didn't know an 8mm mauser could throw a man up into the air. That's some impressive recoil control on the part of the shooter.

Am I missing something that makes that special over the other FPS games?  I mean it looks nice, but other than a slightly different tone, I'm not seeing anything that puts it over Red Orchestra or Battlefield.

If it did have planes you guys would be complaining about the flight model.

There is a special game mode that no other FPS has and will be the main selling point of the game - the frontline is ever shifting as you fight to capture sectors and resources that determine what your side can field in battle, the maps are huge specialy for this, over 16km and 100 players on one server.

And you pay only -once- for the game *wink* *wink*

If this was ultra realistic there would be actual humans there and war correspondents. And Marines cussing just like in other videos...plus looks kinda like WW2 online  :old:

So its smaller than 1 AH sector...and I suppose its on steam...hope you stay over there after you pay once...

Coming to our bulletin board and mentioning a game, for the purposes of discussion has always been allowed.

Taking a shot at our game has never been allowed.

How's that working for you nugetx? *wink* *wink*.

Hmm....well, that went well. :ahand

As for HLL, it honestly looks like "just another FPS" to me.  Providing I even remember to, I'll keep an eye on it.  It may surprise me like World of Warships did. :)

Comparing and commenting maybe.  You never compare games?

Have been playing Squad, its a quite fun FPS. Like Project reality (same guys). A lot of strategy needed since you for ex doesnt get any new ammo if you respawn at a FOB so you need to run in supplies to keep things running. The new tanks are also quite awesome. Still in Alpha so there will be more stuff added. Like the black hawk.. :joystick:

Oh?  Now this has my interest.  But I'm curious to how they will go about it.  While it wasn't an FPS, I used to dink around with a game called Foxhole.  In order to do quite a bit someone had to: 1) Gather raw resources; 2) Convert raw resources into materials; 3) Use materials to build vehicles, walls, base defenses, ammunition, etc.  I spent a huge amount of time just gathering raw resources for our side, every now and again converting/constructing.  Actually had some satisfaction in providing the resources, since those resources are directly tied to your side's ability to fight. :)

Just a reminder- Many of the Truck Simulator games are on sale this weekend.  They don't have a 1943 pack for it yet, but it could happen one day!  :aok

In squad there are no spawn points or other assets on the map  except at the main base at the beginning, everything have to be build. When building FOB you can, aside from building a spawn bunker, build ammo crates, vehicle repair stations and also fortify the FOB with sand bags, hesco walls and bunkers and also deploy HMG:s TOW:s and mortars (weapons are different depending on what side you are on) But everything needs supplies from the main base so the Truck simulator guys can drive the logistic trucks..

Okay, more interested in it now. (https://frm-wows-us.wgcdn.co/wows_forum_us/emoticons/Smile_playing.gif)  I'll wait for some video's to pop up and go from there.  You did mention it's in Alpha, so it may be a while yet.

While it wasn't an FPS, I used to dink around with a game called Foxhole.

I remember this one. I played it for about one weekend and joined some big server that had it map going for several hours if not days.  Somehow my character was glitched and I became invincible.  Then I proceeded to invade all the enemy encampments killing everyone in sight, stealing/destroying all their vehicles/items.  I was the terminator, all gunfire at me seemed to do absolutely nothing.  After an hour or so of this, most of the opposing team (who had a huge numbers advantage when I started) had logged out and I too logged out and subsequently uninstalled.
