One showing here in Lubbock on Dec. 17. Got my ticket for 7 PM.

From what I've read, it's only available in 3d in theaters today, and one day next week.

Almost no battle action had ever been shot in WW1; this is more about seeing the soldiers in something far better than what we know as 'colorization'... mostly daily life sort of stuff, but a real strong aesthetic experience.

Post by: Arlo on December 17, 2018, 09:37:27 PM: I was surprised how little of the material gathered from The Imperial War Museum he used, even though he explained why after the movie. All in all, a worthwhile experience, I thought (even though Kelly kept her eyes shut through most of it).

I was starting to get agitated a little when they used black and white so far into the movie, however once they made the switch to the remastered color it was well worth it.

A great documentary, glad I saw it in the theater as I doubt I would buy it on DVD.

having been to all those WW1 battlefields and cemeteries brought those memories back. :(

Yet we still embroil ourselves into all manner of wars. :bhead
