				They also had F4Us at this 3 day battle, which was the last major multi-carriers vs multi-carriers battle (and lots of other ships like battleships, cruisers hvy & lite, submarines , etc..)  if I remember correctly Allied had 15 total CVs and Axis had 9 total CVs..

The only Corsairs that were available to the Allies at this battle were the 3 which belonged to VF(N)-101 off the USS Enterprise. They only flew at night and therefore did not see any action in this battle.

				For those of us who are history oriented, the KI-43 is not standing in for the D3N1. It was the D4Y1 that served as the "turkey" in the Marianas. There were only 3 prototype D3N1's made and they were never ordered into production.
