I heard that a couple of squads fly "only" Allied or Axis. That is not an option in the TOD's.
This is right out of the TOD rules listed on our site.
since historical plane match up's will be used, squadrons will have to rotate to fly strike aircraft or aircraft other then their preferred side or type. All squadrons are expected to keep up their participation in such case. This is done to balance the series and will be distributed as fairly as possible.
I want to be clear that all squads are required to switch sides when requested. So don't think you can fly Spitfires all the time or that 109's will be your only ride.
It is my hope that all squads will be flexible so they don't lose their spot/slot in the TOD's.

Something tells me VMF-323, a Marine Corp fighter squadron that flew for the U.S. in real life, is going to be assigned japanese aircraft.....
-
Just consider it a detailed evaluation and analysis of captured enemy aircraft performance abilities againt US aircraft.
-
So how would I explain that to George Axtell, the 83 year old original CO of VMF-323? :) (Full report being filed, and forwarded onto the remaining members that flew in the Pacific)

Good fatty! :)
There is an old Japanese saying "Know your enemy"! How better then to fly there AC. ;)
Actually rip I have no idea what your going to fly. It is all up to rojo and I thankfully am not the Admin C.O. for this one. :)

Obviously, you guys haven't flown Knits very long, or at all, my missions have had a very famous one called "Japanese Jabo" that we run quite consistently. I know the Japanese Aircraft almost as good as the big blue ones. ;)

:)
Actually I have flown Knights ever since I came to Aces High. Problem is I fly only a few hours a month and now only in the CT.
