Title: death credit bug

Tonight on Mindanao, I shot down a F4U with a Yak-9T.  I hit him with the 37 and saw him explode.  Then I zoomed up and collided with a Ki84 but he died and I lost a wing. there were still two enemy fighters in icon range when I crashed, but the kill went to the dead guy in the F4U.   :headscratch:

This is the only kill the F4U guy has on me so far this tour, so he wasn't in a chute.  He caused no damage to my plane before dying.  The red icon between bases is the two fighters that were left - right where I went down.

I've seen a single kill grant 2 on the same player. Sometimes, weird things happen with kill/death credits. Maybe a subtle bug well hidden that causes all similar kind of weirdness.

If the F4 was the last one to have put a bullet in you and he had not left the tower yet he would get the kill.

Its pretty often than I will drop a bomb, wirb kills me before bomb goes off, and still get a kill in tower :uhoh Doesnt happen every time but I would say 60%...of coarse I could have missed a couple of times :uhoh MAYBE :devil

I wasn't damaged when I crashed into the Ki and he got rounds on me not sure if F4U did.  If that was the case, it sure isn't consistent. 

The same day, I collided with a P-51 and saw the cheezy poof on his canopy right before I got towered.  He got the kill on me but died in the process.  Nobody else around and I didn't get a posthumous kill.  Guaranteed I was the last to put rounds on him.

The FSO logs from last night also show some funky crediting of kills.

How can I help myself shoot down a plane and not actually shoot it down?
