Its nice and edgy but maybe you should provide some narration/info into the ACM manouvres that are being performed?

I like it! Y'all are getting better with vids! I feel like this type of vid is something that should be on the main page for AH. Too me, that F4F vid just doesn't show enough. Get this on YouTube Ads if you can.

i like the video whoever made it well done.
now that the focus for this game is on a smaller scale battle area can the graphics/water/terrain be upgraded to match some of the newer cockpits?
i believe this is the only way to capture the younger generation and get them to stay.

Is the video quality bad to anyone else? I didnt expect WOP to compete in the graphics category, but it seems like the video doesnt even show the quality of HTC's "moderately good" graphics.

For VR the advanced graphics are mostly turned off by default, presumably to aid performance for the typical system.

It's already got 12 dislikes! One stalking hater who creeps this forum with 12 youtube accounts or 12 stalking haters who creep this forum?
War is definitely on in the like/ dislike and commentary section. Maybe should have created a sister company and launched the game independent from AH and this forum and announce ties with HTC later or something.

I'm convinced some of the bashers on Steam are AH players. I guess they see it as some kind of zero-sum threat to AHIII.
People just don't compile. They got bugs.

For sure. The AHIII thread is the same way on Steam. Probably butt-hurt people that got banned for one reason or another. I couldn't comment on there, because I didn't get AHIII from Steam. It would be good to point that fact out to other people reading that thread.

Well, the zero-sum threat idea is not completely out of line. Much of the work carries over, but a fair bit of it doesn't. Working on WOP specific stuff means not working on AH specific stuff.
People have their pet desires, and anything that isn't working toward their idea of what's most important is "wasted effort". There's a lot of people who feel VR is a waste and they should be making more planes, for example.
As to the stalkers, I've never seen people that just keep coming back again and again to whine about a game outside of Derek Smart on Star Citizen. It's weird.
I've decided for the most part to just sit back and watch. I have my opinion. It is not constructive.
I didn't go deep on the reviews but the negative ones I saw were bug-related and "Japan bias" related which kind of made me chuckle.

I think that zero-sum thinking is narrow and short-sighted.
How much new stuff would AH get if HTC were to close it's doors?
The first and primary goal of any fan of AH should be to keep HTC financially healthy. Even if that means developing some additional income sources. To go and try and sabotage HTC's efforts to keep itself afloat because they are mad they haven't a new xyz fighter to add to the stable that already 70 something planes in it, just boggles my mind.
Some of the grips are legitimate. I have no problem with constructive criticism. I've never been shy about telling HTC what I think works well and what I think is broken. But there is a difference between trying to help HTC make a better product and trying to convince people "Don't waste your time on this excrement!"
Of course, I have no proof. They may all just be Steam tards. But if there were some AH players who were trying to make WarOP fail because they think HTC would then be forced to concentrate all it's efforts on AHIII, that would seem mentally ill to me.

Sorry, should've said it. Of course it is, but there's some who get fussy about the last plane addition being 2014 or whatever it was. Like Chris Rock said, I don't agree with it, but I understand.

Like I say I didn't go deep but the ones I saw looked like typical new people from Steam. My favorite is still the guy from the AH3 release that was complaining about getting disoriented trying to play in VR while standing up. Playing a flight sim... while standing.

Yeah. I get it. I have nothing against new planes. But a new Italian fighter won't put 400 new players in the arena. And it would get flown at least for a couple of weeks. Maybe once a year in a scenario. A new plane isn't a bad thing. I'm not sure where it ranks in the triage.

I will gladly share it on my FB page in order to try and help. Also if you made one under sixty seconds for Instagram that would be cool too.
I am not sure if this has been noticed by HTC but you have a lot of accounts with automotive related callsigns. Along with chasing the war historian and aviation crowds might be worth it to chase the automotive racing crowd too. We always hear they came back from WW2 and bought old cars and went land speed and drag racing.

I'll watch a 4 min video about a game I'm interested in. However, I did get confused as it seemed at the 3 min mark it was wrapping up with end title scrolling, all of the sudden, nope! There's more! :)

HT the aspect ratio for the VR capture makes it look arse. You need to edit those bits so the aspect ratio is correct (even if you have black pillars on the sides) and the graphics won't come across as bad.

After 2 hours in game I can say that this was an awful idea. Spent my first 20 mins trying to figure out what in the world was going on, got my controls set and was finally able to join a side after I figured out to double click on the side button. I have money from shooting planes but still can't buy planes in game so not sure if that's me or the game.
You put A6Ms against the P40s at 10K with random AI that spawn behind you that fight against all players regardless of sides and expect new players to learn the game, fight AI and fight players that drop in and out without you being aware. I see a map on some of your screen shots but whatever setting I put I have no map nor have I seen an option for one. I flew the P40E for most of my time today and I had forgotten how much of a dog that poor plane is. I fought a decent pilot and lost all fights with him in a A6M2 I killed him twice as he was fighting AI and I had alt he shot me down the 3 other times we met and knew I was there. Expecting a brand new person to jump the learning gap learn the UI and then fight zeros with a P40 is just bad.
I see this drawing you guys away from AH which is not good, you should have worked on the F2P aspect for AH ditch your ENY system and make a scaled payment system based on planes rough idea would be 5 bucks gets you 30ENY planes and above 10 bucks gets you 15ENY and above and 15bucks get all, continue with perk points but make all aircraft perked to anyone below the 15 bucks per month that way if you want to hop in a 51 but you pay 5 bucks you can still do that but if you lose the plane you lose the points like normal. and for free you get like 5 aircraft maybe 1 tank 3 fighters and 2 bombers. all your hanger queens maybe although this may be too rough.
Anyhow I think this was well over a year that places a whole new game that could have been a part of what we currently have except that y'all burned yourself's when we got AH greenlit and it wasn't really F2P.
But anyway enjoyed the time I had in this game from 2001 to today. Well in AH proper not WOP.
My well more than 2 cents.

No it doesn't, and the YouTube reviews support my assertion. You have to fix the resolution/aspect ratio of the in-cockpit shots otherwise people think it is 1980s-level graphics. As noted above, put black bars on the sides if you have to but not this.

VR does not look good in videos unless you are viewing it in VR. In the video it is extremely grainy and the FPS look very bad compared to the bits that are shot from F3 view.

Agree; the VR aspect ratios are off in the trailer.
Recommend the following: If using a Rift, it's best to record the OculusMirror.exe window, using something like OBS Studio (free, open source and very powerful) as the screen recording software. There are several short tutorials on Youtube on how to get the best settings for doing this, usually done by game streamers. Additionally, I would recommend sharpening the game's innate resoultion by setting super-sampling to 1.5 or slightly higher (caution; beefy computer may be needed). A tool like the Oculus Debug tool, or the open source Oculus Tray Tool (OTT) allow one to do this easily. The OculusMirror window usually defaults to capturing one lens' view or the other, but since you're essentially trying to capture a 3D experience on a 2D playback device, that's inconsequential and one shouldn't worry about that, unless you specifically want to capture in SBS mode. Also, do not skimp on the capture FPS, or you may get an unintended slide-show effect. As a minimum, 30 FPS should be okay at 720p (palatable quality but not best) for personal projects, but if doing the capture for commercial purposes (e.g., a trailer), best quality output should be considered (i.e., 1080p). OBS Studio is able to output in mp4 or mkv (which, FYI, will need to be converted for editing). If professional video editing software is not available (price, complexity), try something like the free and open source ShotCut editing software.
I've made several of my own VR AH videos this way (though edited on commercial software) and the process works well, with the aspect ratios properly proportioned (i.e., no "scrunch" effect).
