Pokie,
Your Notes-4 document mentions placing a maproom in an obscure place.
You mention using the F5 function zooming you to where that Map is located in the ndiles.res terrain.
Was this written before the CM feature was added? When I try to get an external view in an offline mode, the F5 function puts me under the ship.
BTW, are CM commands Private?

When you go to one of the ships in the nisles terrain and select maproom then f5 you should be able to fly out so you see where it is placed.
If you are making maps for h2h I don't think maprooms for thw cv are something to worry about placing.
