Title: Where does my $15 go?

Im not one of the richest people in the world, and i know that the price was just reduced, but I cant see what it does other than pay HTC loads of wages? :D

At the start of a tour, I get a rank of 1000? This means there are probably 500+ active accounts paying $15 a month. Thats a lot of money.

Just interested in where it all goes.

That might sound like a lot of money for a person, but its not a lot of money to run a business off of.

Businesses are very expensive things to operate.

Consider these theoretical numbers:

Assume that there are 1000 subscribers at $15.00 per month.

That is $15,000.00 per month, which in turn is $180,000.00 per year.

There are 6 employees. Lets pay them the low ammount of $2,000.00 per month, or $24,000.00 per year. This theoretical company is lucky to have good employees willing to work for such low wages.

We now have $3,000.00 per month with which to pay operating expenses such as rent, bandwidth fees, research materials, electricity, healthcare packages for the employees, payroll taxes and taxes.

We can clearly see that this company will not survive due to its insuficient subscriber base.

Businesses are expensive, be glad that this luxury service only costs $14.95 per month. I know I am.

I really can't see how AH can be financially viable with its current subscriber base. At the end of the day its HTC's business where the money goes, not ours. I was happy to pay 30 bucks a month. As long as HTC keeps delivering on its promises as they have done to date, they'll keep getting my business for sure.

It's none of your business where your $15 a month goes. Pay it or don't.

Do you (or your parents) ask the power company where your monthly fees go? Your telephone, cable, gas bill? How about your grocery store - walk up to the store manager and ask him where the $4 for the box of Fruit Loops goes???

Get a grip, get a life, ask your parents for more allowance ... amazing.

It's not at all unreasonable to ask where it goes. HTC can respond or not respond. But the question, in and of itself isn't blasphemous or anything..

Besides, it's a legitamite question.. does the $15 only cover access to AH? does it go toward future upgrades? I'm sure he didn't mean "detail where every dollar goes"..
