Title: Tamiya Model 109 1/72 build
Post by: Volron on May 06, 2019, 03:40:29 PM
I think she came out VERY well. End result looked a touch heavy on the "weathering", but still very good. I've seen a few of his other builds, and they all look great.
On a side note, can anyone ID the song that starts at 11:41 and ends at 13:57?

try scale-a-ton and plasmo channels, they do even nicer work and it isn't quite as branded as this channel. Guy does nice work but Tamiya selling stuff is just too much. When he has branded pipettes from tamiya....

Yes their channels are great as well.
For those who don't know, 1/72 scale results in small sizes for single engine prop planes. The wingspan of that model is just under 5 and a half inches.

yeah, doing a freehand camouflage on this scale is pretty hardcore...

I checked out Plasmo and Scale-a-ton. Plasmo did an outstanding job with the detailing on the He 219. His detail painting looked a little "heavy", but absolutely love his attention to the radar array's. Scale-a-ton could use a better camera, but you can still see the amazing amount of work he put into the He-162. He also gives detailed information about how much of what he uses and how he applies. Very informative!
I'll look at more of their video's for sure. Thank you for introducing their channels. :aok

I like Andys Hobbies (https://www.youtube.com/channel/UChnAgeghaNKLdftbfJY8zNA) as well as those others. He details the HOW's" of what he does as hes doing it.

Man I'd love to see what you can do with say 1:48 or 1:32! Great work my man. I hope your not done doing this, cause I'd like to have a community wide vote or "beauty contest" on who's looks better. But we have to do the same plane (not brand) in the same scale 1:72, 1:48 whatever! You game? 😉

I slapped together models with no paint and too much glue then used leftover firecrackers from the 4th of July on `em.

:uhoh No, no, no, that is not my work. I'd be lucky if I dropped one into a bucket of paint and it's come out the color I dropped it into. :noid
