Title: New Terrain Downloaded
Post by: SpitLead on January 24, 2001, 01:58:00 PM
Just downloaded the new Mediterranean terrain from the AH Download screen.  It doesn't seem to look any different than before.  Is it different and I just don't notice (I expected a somewhat drier climate with more brown and tan) or do I need to toggle between terrains?

In setup you need to switch terrains.

I looked everywhere under the Setup menu but couldn't find anything related to choosing terrain.  Are you sure it's there?

Thanks for your help on this.

Yep - click setup, then terrain and make your choice.

In setup do you mean the setup command button on the "notepad" or the setup.exe executable file?  Cause I swear, I did NOT see a "terrain" button on the notepad after I clicked on the setup button.  I saw Arena Settings, Field Settings, Plane Settings,GUI settings, Video Settings, etc., but not Terrain.

You can't look at  AHCMED.res in the AHeditor.

You must run just normal aceshigh, then

1)offline
2)setup
3)terrain
4)select the ahcmed
5)now fly around

You can also do this in H2H mode

Ok.  I found it.  Can I only run this in the Offline Training arena or am I able to use this online as well?  Also, the map view is VERY fuzzy.  Almost unreadable.  Don't know if that is a bug or not.
