Have a major problem with this. Offering help, check sixes, resupps, etc... If you want to change country's thats fine but don't make your main country's time a living hell. I'm writing down every one one of you and one day when the list is lenghty, I'm dropping all your traitor names here in hope nobody wants you around. When you change sides don't shoot at your home country.
I see the model making is picking up! At the moment working on a special edition Typhoon mk. Ib. Pictues of the build soon. Can't wait for the Bavaria do-over so someone can recieve the D9. I hate looking at it knowing I can't keep her.

Don't be an idiot. It's perfectly OK to switch sides and shoot anyone you like.
-
Red your demand for people to have chess piece loyalty is unreasonable.

Many people play this game for action. If numbers are off they will shift sides to even out teams and make fights more exciting. They are some of the best folks for the game.
You might want to sit back, relax, and think about that awhile.... maybe put together one of your store bought models.

Give him an out. Like - haha, funny joke. Or - you almost had us, there. Or maybe - trolling for head slaps, I see. :D

I think red is speaking of guys that switch from month to month and only concentrate on the side they are usually on. Then return at the end of the month flying at 27k deacking fields begging for some one to run supps or m3 for them.
I don’t believe he speaks of the guys that swap around a lot for fights.

Well, thanks for the psychic translation. :aok

Makes no difference at all.

Ever fly for Bishops in the morning or Rooks? 20v4v2 is no fun for anyone. More people need to switch.
-
I never could understand the chess piece loyalty thing. Fly for the low side has been my motto even when there was more than one main arena.

Nothing wrong with loyalty to one side, it's only a problem when you want to impose that on other players.
-
Amen FLS... I stick with Rooks out of habit and loyalty...
I guess from the good old days when they allowed RJO, BJO
and KJO... but those days have been gone for quite awhile :frown:
And yet I still come back… maybe allowing the joint ops to come back
will at least get the numbers up :rock

POTW swapped to bish on Friday night becasue the last month and a half have been pretty much ENY heck. 12 of us were on and that evened ENY out for the arena and we did our favorite thing, broke toys and red boys in late war rides we hadn't been able to play in much for past month and a half. Saturday we went back rooks and weeeeee, ENY heck was back. POTW members have been around long enough we can make due with garbage rides against 262, dora, 152, spit16, P51D, P47M and so forth. It's more like working a bad day job than having fun for $14.95.
We don't pay Hitech $14.95 for the pleasure of getting our teeth kicked in by greifers who know we are stuck flying garbage planes against their late war rides. Since the max population during prime time is more often 120 customers across three countries, maybe Hitech, reduce the minimum ENY trigger from the 400 customers a night setting. Why do I say greifers, once the 12 of us were bish and back in late war rides, we no longer had the garbage ride problems towering other late war rides. Shades of the good ride side garbage ride side problem with FSO scenario's.
We have a POTW member who logged rather than switch to bish becasue he has very long standing issues with some bish players and didn't want to be around them. That is an unspoken reason customers have such virulent country loyalty, along with not wanting to fight their friends. Team player type personalities have those kinds of loyalty traits. Solo players don't and the MA is still biased in numbers towards the team player personalities. POTW has been Kinghts and Rooks for 15 years and in both countries customers refused to jump to other countries becasue of personal disliking of other players and their feelings about being a member of a team. It did not matter even when those disliked players were not logged on and it would have helped ease ENY for that night. Loyalty to friends and team were more important than ENY. That's why the rooks and knights will suffer 30+ ENY over and over again. Friday night the MA sucked for everyone until we switched, no one in POTW has friends on the bish side, we do have friends on the knight side. Originally we switched to rooks after 10 years becasue the knights refused to address being in ENY heck for months. Now the rooks are doing the same thing.
When the MA is down to 120 from 400 customers a night, especially with the numbers of long time customers making up the core of that 120, the reason for sticking to ones long time freinds is why Hitech still has 120 customers during prime time. They are friends and the game is their social media app. Being with longtime friends trumps ENY heck, they can tough it out becasue they are together suffering it. I don't think newer customers have that kind of bond or any understanding of that kind of toughness to keep them here.

I solicit myself quite a bit. I'm only able to play for 5 or 6 days a month due to work so I go to where the fight is. I don't care if it's against my squads country. I enjoy the rage PMs from the guys that take the game too serious. Those are the ones that I remember when they're calling for help.
-
Someone oughta create a squad called the 'side-switchers' and make a point of switching as often as possible. Even better if they are regularly spread out amongst the three sides. Extra points for shooting down squadies.
-
Whatever side I play on I always put in the same effort

I'll try to remember that, next time I'm defending a base against the Pigs.

When your country is passive and the other two ignore you, here is what you do:
Organize a mission to take an enemy base, either by attacking it yourself (people go where they see others) or in the old days you could have posted a mission. Then, switch to the other country and defend against your own mission. Congratulations, you started your own private war.
The reactions on ch200 when you start shooting down the mission players are the cherry on top :)
All in good spirit. It’s been years since I did this. Thanks for reminding me :aok
-
I, like many others, go where the fight is. If my country, despite what it is, has no good fights or is constantly slaughtering bases, I am going to switch or log off. I have no chess piece nationalism, unlike other games I play where there are streaks of patriotism, even nationalism in some circumstances. But, that is not here in the MA. I am pro-Axis in events though, but that likely goes without saying.
-
Ahh Redd you see, I like to be everyone's friend and everyones enemy. That makes it fair for everyone :D

My, an out of context use of a snippet to smear people to serve ones self with fake news oldman. Below is the full statement which you are trying to create a falsehood with your choice to use only a cherry picked snippet.....

Practice becoming a better cartoon pilot and it does not matter what the other side flies.
-
Contrary to the belief of some, no matter how amazing a stick you may be (or believe you are) it always matters if the other side flies more advanced cartoon planes. Then it all literally depends on how incompetent the other side is at flying them. If they are totally outside their element, I can see how shooting one of them down easily feels like accomplishment or superiority. And yes, in a sense it is ..... just not worth bragging about.
Then there are acceptingly mediocre flyers that don't care if they win or lose as long as the fight is fun.
-
If you are bragging about a game you have more issues to contend with.
I will take the group flying MW planes. They do so because they do not need the LW and to survive.
It is also much more fun.

Many with me fly pretty much only ENY 20+ planes and don't even notice ENY changes, with a very few exceptions.
It's not until ENY 35+ strikes you get problems choosing a ride.
IF you want your squad to switch side, it's OK, if you don't OK.
The problems trying to start a fight is that no-one up a plane anymore but a battalion of Wirbies appear immediately instead.

No, you have a personal problem with POTW that you decided being openly disingenuous and modifying publicly what I wrote is as OK as Mueller recently being found to have modified a transcript from a phone call to make an innocent person look like they committed a crime. You modified my post out of context with malice for your feelings. You were caught being disingenuous so you obfuscated with an additional attack to cover your lame act. I don't need to repeat Arlo's explanation concerning late war rides and the realities since POTW can take down late war riders while ENY crippled. We don't find it a fun use of our $14.95 after a month or more almost every night having to do that. If you are getting caught alone at a field we are commencing an attack to capture, you chose to be there alone and unsuporrted by your countrymen. Seems you are making poor choice and avoiding responsibilty by attacking POTW.
Stop trying to make yourself out as the arbitrator of how customers should play this game as "St. Victim the Elder Pious". It makes you look lame and petty trying to get even for choosing to fly alone against squads. Sorry at this late stage you don't have friends to fly with like POTW has been fortunate to have for the last 15 years. In reality you are just another red guy to us and a target to tower. Given the chance you will do exactly the same to us Oh Elder Pious.

The only problem I have with a side switch is the player that watches a raid take off for a "mission". On the runway when you launch. Then switches after take off and is waiting on the other end, knowing what you are bringing. Its poor taste all around.
As far as switching for side balance or squads that switch every month? Not a thing wrong with it. No such thing as a designated home base country. I met more great people by moving around and getting to know players.
Broaden your horizons!!! Some squads switch. Most don't. Doesn't matter. Just have fun.

I'd say for the most part I fly Knights, but I'll go wherever the fight is or to the low #'s side to farm perks and fly cheap 262s. :)

So true FLS. I personally don't switch sides nor do many of my LCA squaddies. I like flying with my squaddies and I am a loyal rook to a fault! That's just the way I roll but I don't begrudge anyone switching sides if they want. The only exception would be those that switch to spy on the other sides and report back to the home country. Now that does tick me off!
This question has often made me wonder though. I am a loyal rook because I originally spawned out there made friends there and now feel patriotic to the country. So what if I had been a Russian vs an American? Just food for thought.

Always trying to make a base capture harder
Sucks in GV's
been so long since I was stuck to a side...pretty sure I started as Bish.... now I am loyal to the side being jumped on...Unless I read the map wrong and am stuck to the side I thought was being jumped on...and get stuck with a hording crowd....
I have only met 1 Bish and 1 Knight that actually voiced their issue with me.... I know who they are and I try to stay away from them...not always possible but I do my best.... In fact I think both have actually left the game....

Try switching sides. Get to know the players in the other countries. They are just as nice and cooperate like the everyone in your country. It is a game. You log on to have fun. Competition is fun but do not take it personal. Salute players that get the best of you. The next time you log on you will get the best of them. Things tend to go in cycles.
