Title: Recently Discovered WWII B-17 Videos

Post by: Gman on June 15, 2019, 02:25:42 PM: This reminds me of the Spitfire 944 short film that won a bunch of awards about 7 or 8 years ago. This is even better though, great interviews with the remaining vets, especially the last/credits scenes, he was great.

The sequences showing the LW fighters and gunners has the very best a2a footage from the B17 perspective I've seen, seeing lines of tracers going out in various ways, and even hits on LW fighters. Fantastic, worth the watch just to see this IMO.

It was on HBO On demand, but it doesn't seem to be there now.

Hmm.. I just searched on it and it showed up. Give it a try.

Half way through June and nothing about it except for rumors. No teaser or production shots. I believe it's coming but 2019 is quickly disappearing.

For example, it talked about B-17 crews returning to base after jettisoning bombs and even landing on islands in the channel so they didn't have to go against the Luftwaffe. It's probably been 15 years or more since I have seen it.
