Title: Here a simple thing for centering fields
Post by: pokie on November 12, 2001, 10:25:00 PM
Since the runways have been extented, its been more important to try and center the Airfields.

Since we don't have an updated edit yet and you don't know how the Field looks until you fly in the game you can try this file.

I find that the runways are still to long but this file may save some headaches for getting them as close to the center as possible.

You can get it here. http://accesswave.ca/~tscott/AH-stuff/AH-Editor&Stuff/FldPlacement.zip (http://accesswave.ca/~tscott/AH-stuff/AH-Editor&Stuff/FldPlacement.zip)

Just rename it as one of the texture tiles.
Since snow is not used often, just rename it to that ( terr0016.bmp ).
Then place it in your C:\Program Files\HTC\aheditor\terrains\TERRAIN-NAME  folder.

Centrering the airfields? Does this solve the issue that some fields have disappearing ground textures, being replaced with the underlying ground texture?

Broes

Now with the new editor making it easier to move the entire airfield to the center of the grid square you really don't need this now.

Also Broes if any of the 9 points of a grid square are not level, it with cause problems with your airfields and other objects.

The object report with help locate items not on level terrain.

P.S  Just a quick note, you may find some of available selection not visible or keep changing unless you are in a screen size larger than 800 X 600. (I use 1024 X 768)
