Title: new textures?

I wondered if we'll get some kinda tool to generate own textures someday? Would be neat, with the current textures african theater maps aren't doable plus the terrain looks quite boring with only 6 different textures  (http://bbs.hitechcreations.com/smf/Smileys/default/smile.gif)

 Hope Squirrel won't mind, but here might be a very nice source of usable terrain textures. These are custom made "sea" and "ground" textures made by Squirrel, an AW3 player.

Heya Westy,
I just happened to check these message boards for the first time in a month or so and noticed this new terrain group (which of course peaked my interest).. Last I recall the HT folks were blowing off the whole SACish concept but alas it would appear to have become more fashionable.  Maybe its time for me to give AH a try  (http://bbs.hitechcreations.com/smf/Smileys/default/smile.gif)  BTW when is the terrain editor due to come out of closed beta?

Squirrel, the Editor is availibe for download since yesterday.

Howdy Verm,
Its kindof a strange coincidence that I happened to breeze by here just after the terrain editor was released (it had been a good while)..  After a bit of further reading it would appear that you have to test the terrains online. Guess I'll just have to sign up and give it a try online to see how I really like it  (http://bbs.hitechcreations.com/smf/Smileys/default/smile.gif).  If AH is as good as folks say, I'll definitely get into do some terrain stuff.  Of course, anything I come up with for AH would be completely new BTW.
