Title: GV Sound location in surround sounds
Post by: diaster on January 08, 2020, 10:12:30 AM
Hello all,
Curious if anyone else has noticed this. When in a gv .i hear other vehicles movement and positioning is “somewhat accurate.” I have noticed a gv that sounds like it’s at 12 O’clock ends up more like 1 or 2 / 10 or 11. This has gotten me shot more than once lol. But the real noticeable thing for me, PITA, is that a vehicle can be sitting at my 9 and when it fires (main gun) the sound comes from my 3 area. Machine gun sounds always seem to be behind ME irregardless of their actual location. Anyone else notice this? Is there a fix? This never was a problem in AC-II. Thanks.

I think that's called having your headphones on back to front.

If your sound card has any kind of "enhancement," you do not want to use those features.

Same thing happens to me using motherboard sound (Realtek).  GV engine and track sounds are often 30 to 45 degrees off, tank cannon often way more off, and mg sounds don't have much positional information at all.  I don't have any audio enhancements turned on; I'm not sure any even exist.

I get the same thing.  I thought I was losing my hearing in one ear.
