WW1 ace Ernst Udet airshow in America 1933 colorized. Note the torque maneuver with smoke.

Awesome videos. Jungmeister is my favorite airplane of all time, rarely see old videos of them.

Good movie. I expect you know the Kessler character is based on Udet.

Udet gave Eric Brown an aerobatic ride when he was a boy visiting Germany with his dad.

Kessler flew a Jungmeister in the movie. It is a shame they didn't give him a Flamingo.

You know it is a shame that so much of aviation moves forward because of the desire to kill the other guy. It really is a beautiful endeavor, if only people were happy with just the amazing ability to fly.

If only automobiles were better instruments of war, we'd have flying cars.
