Vraciu has a new project he has finished and has asked me to post it.

"I want to thank Lyric1 for finding some outstanding images of this airplane.  Without his research I would have been sunk.   (I've asked him to post my thank you.   Hopefully he listens to me THIS time--he always deletes that part. LOL)

Mindoro, 1944

This is Lt. E.B. Kisbey's P-38L-5-LO, "Louise" / "Helen" (S/N 44-25234) of the 35th FS, 8th FG on Mindoro, 1944.   No other information on this airplane or its pilot was found.

Originally skinned by Kev367th it has been completely redrawn for Aces High III.   The distortion on the wing stripes is just part of the ALT+S screenshot feature.   They're actually straight in the game.
