These F4B-4's don't have rockets under their sings which they use to kill destroyers with?

It also has 8" guns, which is heavy for a CV. CV-2 had 8" guns, too.

It looks like there's no propellers, but they're actually spinning which is more obvious with the white engined plane.

Looks like they're taking off toward the stern of the ship, instead of the bow.

Yes. And it's the reason for the large crowd gathered on top of those 8" gun turrets. They are observing a stern launch while steaming in reverse. Good job, OM.  :)
