I haven't taken a look at the new map yet, But saw HTC addressed the land/water issue. Any idea how this was addressed?
Meaning does the water/grass use a transitional tile? Can all the tiles butt against the water? Is it even a tile issue or purely coded? Can the current maps made be reworked to this release?

My understanding is the beach textures can be manipulated in the editor. <dunno how or to what extent>

The beaches will be 3 new textures (18,19,20) They are automatically place when water meets grass. You can make your own of course. Here's an example of the lay out:

Sorry, but I don't understend:
Terr0018 = Grass transition into Sea?
Terr0019 = G.rock transition into Sea?
Terr0020 = Farm transition into Sea?
Please Superfly be good: Give us also terr0021 and 22 (for forest n rock) (http://bbs.hitechcreations.com/smf/Smileys/default/tongue.gif)

You can make the transition into whatever you want. Just make sure that the coastline is always the same. In other words, it will always be whatever your terr0001 texture is.
