Check this out! They aren't exact by any means, the trained eye will see several discrepancies, and he of course errs when he states that the Mosquito was the fastest plane of WW2; but this is so cool that I have to forgive him for that relatively minor mistake!
I would so love to have a collection of these on my property. I guess I need to take up welding and start collecting used swimming pools... Better yet, how awesome would it be to make them flyable?
I have been thinking about starting on one of Robert Baslee's WW1 replica experimental planes. I just wish somebody was doing something like that for WW2 planes. I know there is an Aussie company (Supermarine Aircraft), now based in Texas I think, that has a Spitfire kit; but it's not full scale (they do have a 90% version that looks interesting though). Also, there is one other company (W.A.R.) that has reduced-scale plans for several WW2 models, but I want full scale and historical level of performance; although I'm aware of the issues building full scale WW2 replicas, (finding suitable engines primarily).
