Title: SparkCharge delivers to EV owners who are low on E
Post by: Mano on August 02, 2020, 02:18:59 PM

Much like a tow truck delivering a few gallons of gas.  SparkCharge is an example of new startups
coming out as the EV industry grows.

At 12 minutes he explains E being delivered for a race at the bottom of the hill.

There's no reason why an electric vehicle couldn't deliver it.  Or you could go to the nearest gas or charging station and rent one like we currently do propane tanks.

I've actually posted about the need for this service on reddit years ago.

More weight in an electric vehicle means more power used. Just like in a gas engine.

EV's are coming.  Remember IBM said there was no need for a home computer.  Landline home telephones pretty much gone.  Horseless carriage nonsense.  Every last person here is on the internet, not a telegraph machine.  Mail is struggling as e-mail and other technologies make it faster than mail.  Wind generators and solar energy have come a long way since they started.  Change is always around the corner.

EVs are here. They have their uses for folks who want to use them.

Locomotives have used electric motors for years. Charged by diesel generators. WWII subs did likewise but ran on diesel while surfaced.

And locomotives used to run on coal before they advanced to diesel electric.

People also predicted we'd have flying cars and hover-skateboards by now
