Thanks to Lyric1 for finding me some of the info for this skin.

This TBM Avenger NZ2509 was operated by 30 Squadron of the Royal New Zealand Air Force during 1944. The aircraft featured the RNZAF's variation on the US star and bar marking and was named "Grumpy" with Disney's dwarf depicted on the LH nose.

30 Squadron arrived at their operational base at Piva on the island of Bouganville on March 24th, just as the nearby Japanese were shelling the base. For the next two weeks they and 25 Squadron's SBDs were active bombing and strafing the Japanese on the island. Later as local Japanese opposition was suppressed the RNZAF squadrons expanded their operations as far as the major Japanese base at Rabaul, hitting air bases and other installations. On the 25th May 30 Squadron was rested and replaced by 31 Squadron.

Nice. Makes me think about the one on display at the Pacific War Museum in Fredericksburg Texas.

One small note is that I believe the rivets "protrude" a little much in Cpit-Gunner area.

I think Dolby is talking about the canopy. I hope it's just the way the image compressed.

Sweet looking scheme, great skin Greebo.  I've never seen such a skinny tail flash.

Always nice to see Walt Disney's art make an appearance on nose art.

I had a close up look at the canopy fasteners and agree they are a bit too pronounced. So I have now reduced their height by half in the normal map. Thanks for pointing it out Dolby, feedback is always welcome.

IIRC someone skinned Barbara III on the old TBM shape but no one has done so on the current one yet.
