It was a great surfing movie.
But it never mentioned this: https://www.azcentral.com/story/news/local/phoenix-weather/2020/09/05/phoenix-august-summer-2020-hottest-history/5729955002/ (https://www.azcentral.com/story/news/local/phoenix-weather/2020/09/05/phoenix-august-summer-2020-hottest-history/5729955002/)

A lot of that is happening because of the colder temperatures at the equator.... El Nina.

That and there’s been a high pressure system sitting above the central and western half of AZ preventing our normal monsoons that bring a lot of rain, moisture and varying weather that is typical for AZ late June through September
It was only 108 yesterday :)
Fall is on it’s way...in places elsewhere. It’s snowing in Ft. Collins (where I went to school & lived for 8 years) and Winterpark Colorado.
It was in the 90’s in Ft Collins and Denver yesterday and now mid 30’s. Ohh what to wear??

New Braunfels.... it is raining today. They have been pretty dry here except for a fair rain a few days ago.
I am on vacation here... and do not mind the rain a bit. That is as long as it does not get crazy. We are right on the Guadalupe and it is very reactionary to rain.

I’ve never been to that part of Texas. Houston, Beaumont and Dallas FTW areas.
Not exactly the season to vacation imo with heat, I’ve had enough of it! :furious

And now we have smoke too
Trying to insert pic of sunrise from my phone...hmm not showing up

Is tubing the rapids still active?

My regular stomping grounds are just east of Houston.... Baytown, Highlands, Deer Park.

Lots of tubes yesterday and over the weekend. I was in my kayak, 14' Dagger Charleston.

I live in Beaumont been mid-90's with 90-95% humidity with heat index of 105 so when you walk outside it feels like a steam room. I did 2 hours of yard work Saturday taking a 5 min break about every 20-30 min and my clothes felt like i wore them in the shower.

I knew a girl from south-central Mississippi, who I kidded - too much - about the hot weather down there. Finally she'd had enough, and replied, "I did not choose to live in the South to stay cool."
So: I took that to mean that if you live in the South, you must enjoy the hot weather, else you'd move somewhere else!

I moved to Texas from Nebraska when I was 11 I hate the cold, I also lived in Wyoming and Colorado. My parents moved back to Nebraska just before my 18th birthday and asked me if I was coming with them and I said no thanks. I do not like the snow, cold, wind none of it. I don't like it when it gets down into the 50's here in Beaumont. I will take the heat any day over the cold. I will take 9 months of summer and a hurricane threat over 9 months of dreary winter any day.
