There's a player on bishops team who has 3 accounts. He regularly ups multiple ground vehicles and uses proximity radar to monitor our aircraft movements for early warning away from whatever he's doing. He says he's allowed to do it. Also he ups multiple bombers and devastates our strats. Is this allowed? Screenshots attached.
-
AcesHigh needs cash to keep running... 3 accounts on the same country seem a-ok to me.
-
And when we're being overrun by bish using multiple accounts to cheat for added advantage we just quit in frustration. How is that okay?
-
As the game enforces ENY to deal with numbers imbalances by enforcing lesser capable aircraft and vehicles into opposition, no problem there, that's OK.
As there is DARBAR, aircraft and GVs are already capable of being tracked, no problem there as it works both ways, so that's OK.
As owning three accounts on the same side means that there is no cross country map information or individual player tracking, no problem there, so that's OK.
As his attention is spread over 3 accounts that's 33.3r% attention per account meaning he is much more vulnerable over other players - he is personally disadvantaged especially on bomber runs, there is no problem there, so that's OK.
There's no cheating present in what you are bringing forward, or added advantage. If you use the games tools while he goes on a strat run, there are 9 kills in waiting.. Looks to me like you have misidentified the issue.
-
This has been asked before and the official answer is yes, multiple accounts are allowed.
Adding to what Dolby already said, multiple accounts can also be used among family members. It makes a big difference in communication if your team is sitting in the same room.
And if there really is one single person playing on three computers... I'd like to see his setup! The fastest way would be having three desks in a triangle, the player sitting on a rotating chair in the middle. We all know that a rotating chair and pedals isn't the optimal combination. Then again, sitting in the middle of a triangle will set the other two monitors behind the player's shoulders which makes a row or stack of monitors more easily viewed at one glance. Three laptops in a row would provide the best overall view and shortest distance between setups but hey, who would really want to try to spot the enemy dots on a 15" screen?
No matter what, controlling three computers at the same time isn't easy. I know by experience from cases where I've been setting up a new laptop and copying data to an external media from the old one. Reaching to the side just to click the mouse can take seconds especially with the dumber hand.
I suppose the triple account guy doesn't fly much during European evening hours? He'd be a perfect tool for skyrocketing my fighter rank!
-
Yeah I'd like to see how long you'd last against 3 sets of B17s flying formation. Not very long.
So in a 1 player against 1 player scenario, the guy with 3 accounts has big advantage.
With a little imagination and a corner desk, you could easily set up 3 screens with joystick/mouse/keyboard right next to each other to jump back and forth.
I thought this game was all about giving players equal opportunities in the game sandbox. I can't afford or justify the cost of 2 or 3 accounts and equipment to gain advantage. So, you all enjoy playing against these multi-account players with a distinct advantage against a single account player. I'm done with this game.
-
Yeah I'd like to see how long you'd last against 3 sets of B17s flying formation. Not very long.
Remember that he can only shoot from one formation at a time. Then again, I suck against a single formation as well. But for those who constantly shoot my formations down finding the two non-shooting formations should be no issue. It's not only about jumping back and forth, it also takes some time to get to the right gunner position and aim. In my understanding the "wingman" command doesn't automatically aim the guns to the same target. If the triple account guy can jump to another seat and to the optimal gunner positions and get a kill during the couple of seconds a fast plane passes the fleet from side to side I'd say he's earned the victory. I don't know about you guys but for a Sunday driver like myself it's difficult enough to try to follow the attacker inside one bomber and jumping from plane to plane is almost a mission impossible.
Seriously, has this guy often killed you in his triple bomber formations? And if he has, do you usually kill a set of B17's without too much of an effort?
-
Tunes has like 5 accounts...
As a bomber I could see the advantage in shutting down a base or something, but they would severely lack in doing anything else at the same time (fighters, jabo, gunning) I would imagine.
-
Unless Tunes has 3 (or five) sets of hands I doubt he is single handedly flying all those accounts. Seems more like a friends and family plan without the discount. Seriously, thinking about things before making the accusation seems better than jumping to conclusions that make no sense.
-
You may have more the 1 account.
You can not use the accounts to gain an unfair advantage.

And the mere naming convention that Tunes uses (Tunes, Tunes2, Tunes3, etc.) indicates his being above board and not behaving in a deceptive manner. Back when I used to daydream of having a simpit rental business one of the options I considered was having multiple numbered accounts just like this that were able to fly as a team or as opponents. Granted, I also envisioned not doing it in the MA (for obvious reasons), working with Dale to perhaps have a separate, private arena (adding CptTrip's AI design would have made it even better). Alas, my daydreams are mere distraction now.

Those having more than 1 account is ONE of the reasons I am on a break...
I realize that anyone with the money can use this as an advantage and I
suspect it is 1 of the reasons this game is failing... BUT I still maintain my account
simply because this game has given so much pleasure over the years... I hope HTC
will find a way to circumvent the multiple account

Arlo, I think u miss my point... I am only stating that those who realize some have more than
1 account and use them to gain an advantage will quit

A 'point' is pointless if it's based on mere conjecture.

Doesnt look like "conjecture" as it looks like Drane has quit because he believes someone using multiple accounts to his advantage.

Now while Hitech said this.....

You can not use the accounts to gain an unfair advantage.
HiTech
He should define what an "unfair advantage" is. To Drane it seems that the ability to carpet bomb a strat or town as a single player (with 9 planes, 108 500 lbs bombs) IS an unfair advantage, and may have cost HTC another customer
-
The conjecture part is imagining the harm. It's kinda like the spying whines that eventually lead to the 12 hour side change wait limit. Some people imagine the worst then convince themselves of it .... then even quit.
-
Its not hard to imagine what 108 500 lbers can do on a single pass. :D

Until you can convince me (make that prove) that three bomber formations can be slaved to make simultaneous bomber drops with accuracy on a single pass then, again, conjecture.
con·jec·ture
an opinion or conclusion formed on the basis of incomplete information.
Some people want to find more fault then is really there.

Are you that slow that you cant figure out how to do this?
Heres my desk....
(https://i.postimg.cc/4d13WZb2/desk.jpg) (https://postimages.org/)
While I dont have 3 accounts how hard would it be to have 3 twisty sticks on that desk?
AH has a command to lock teammates together in formations so they can bomb together. The game also has salvo and delay dot commands. How tough do you think it would be to drive one formation of buffs to target slaving the other two to your movements. Calibrate only the lead buff and set salvos and delays for each group and when the lead is on target click one button on each stick to drop 108 bombs on a single pass?
It isnt conjecture, it is an easily learnable skill that could be repeated over and over.
The point here is, is it an unfair advantage? Or does paying an extra $30 a month and having a couple marginal (dont need a super computer to run buffs) laptops and some cheapy twisty sticks negate any advantage as "you get what you paid for"?
-
You have 3+ arms? Again, too much worry over nothing.

I know about the command to lock teammates in formations and it works reasonably well with bombers. We've done that a few times. However, if memory serves me right the bombs don't drop by the command of the leader, the bomb button has to be pushed separately for each formation. It's doable but not too easy. Hitting a button on three separate joysticks within one second without nudging any of the sticks is a skill per se.

Toon's accounts have different players running them (I've seen them spread out in a large bomb run with one as a fighter). Witnessing their mere existence and quitting the game over it is an overreaction of truly ignorant magnitude. Somebody needs to shake some sense into people before they step off the edge instead of watching it happen and posting on the forum that it happened and rationalizing it as to be expected. :old:

Tunes has multiple accounts and has been doing this a while
And why block out names on the screenshot?
-
Tunes is a good guy in my books. I recall him having taken care of the whole enemy bomber fleet in a scenario!

You seem to miss the point. Flying 3 formations is not any different then 3 people fling together and doing the exact same thing.

Would probably be harder for one guy to do vs three players working in conjunction.
I can barely keep my own bombers together. lol

Actually it is: 3 people flying 3 formations also means 3 gunners to shoot the defenders down. How fair is that? 3 bomber pilots hoarding the poor fighter pilot! How unfair!

I am basing my conjecture on the nature of some people... not all can afford
multiple accounts

Be glad a buff isn't a death star as in Air Warrior :rofl

You have 3+ arms? Again, too much worry over nothing.
By using the formation command, small course adjustments are made with the lead bomber, so only one hand is needed.
When dropping bombs, using the delay command you can add .5 seconds to the second set of buffs and and a second to the third set of buffs so that one hand can be used to drop bombs on each stick with a half second to get to the next stick in line.

Oh I didnt miss the point, but you may have. In a low number population it may be hard to get 3 guys together to do a strat run. Now we have a guy with 3 accounts who can do the run, decimate a strat all by himself and with the low numbers may only have the OP up to try and defend. Does that player now have an "unfair advantage"? Im just looking for what the definition of "unfair advantage" is.
Im just playing the "devils advocate" here. I dont care if a guy has 3,5, or 10 accounts. I dont care if they use them to have a "player" on each team to find CVs, to me it is generating fights, or at least opportunities for fights.
To the OP and many other players I have heard complain about this it IS a problem.

Define 'many.' I've seen that claim often but 'many' is so often misleading.
Nevertheless, have you once tried convincing any of them otherwise? (Because it really isn't a 'problem.')

Does a guy who has 2 close friends who will bomb with him in the morning have an unfair advantage because he has close friends?
Unfair implies not playing by the rules.
Does he have an advantage? Of course just like some one who has more natural skill has an advantage. But nothing about it is unfair.

Can we spend the extra money he is giving on better upload service? 20 minutes to download new terrains is getting ridiculous. Took me 3 hours to download the game the other day...

Id love to see a picture of his setup.

If i could find a way to do what Tunes does I would, but I fly fighters the majority of the time. Have everything to do 2 but the capacity to manage a fighter and a bomber set at the same time. If a Tex02 pops up i figured it out.
