Title: .5 Kill
Post by: Slade on October 04, 2020, 12:29:50 PM
Hello,

In WWII did pilots get a .5 credit for kills, i.e. half the credit for a kill if more than one pilot got hits on a plane?

Thank you,  :salute

Depends on who was doing the records, seen where different units in same branch didn’t use the same counting methods. Some giving partial some just rounding up.

Right. The Luftwaffe did not allow shared victories. The French give all pilots claiming a kill full victory. British, Finnish, and US forces gave fractional kills.
