Title: Track IR5 - Found
Post by: HL117 on October 15, 2020, 04:55:18 PM
So before I returned to AH I had moved twice, I just found part of the unit and bought a missing part on ebay, anyway it runs without issue although I forget if there is a way so when I look back I am not staring at the seat back, any help?

Thanks

It's all about playing around with the curves til ya get it the way you want. I used to have mine set up to where I wasn't moving much in any direction really but was able to look around prefectly. It does take some getting used to. Training one's self to look around that way takes some discipline but eventually it becomes natural.

Now I'm using VR and like it but don't like the limited FOV. Wish I could configure the tracking like I could with TIR. That would be perfect!

Map a button to Tracker Center in the view options. When in the cockpit, lean forward, press the Tracker Center button to recenter your view, then sit normally. The rear view should now be further from the headrest so you can see around it.

Map a 6 view when you are out of vr or have trackir off to your stick

Then use it instead of breaking your neck

Same with a straight up 12oclock high view

That is the beauty of the way HT has the views setup here compared to the other flight sims - you can use both.

The few times I have used my Trackir, I noted the hat still worked.

Thanks for the responses - very helpful - used it a bit last night with out any adjusting - I rem now that it does take some getting use too like Drano said.

I know of no performance difference with using either the hat clip or the powered usb emitter - let me know if anyone knows of any.

I quickly figured out that I needed to map a button to F12. :) Did that on my throttle.

VR is TrackIR on steriods

Once you go there you sell/give away your trackir

My Trackir was given to me by a player who's head fell off and he had to have it reattached.

Are you waiting for a vr player to do the same?
