requested and received absentee ballot. mailed in last month.
-
My wife and I will be at the polls on election day voting in person.
-
"Mailed in", as has been usual for me in recent years, although I hand delivered the ballot envelope to our county election officials
I do miss a bit voting in person in our little mountain community, where the fringe benefit is visiting a bit with neighbors and snacking on homemade treats. Never a line of any significance.

I actually emailed the clerk of our county because I was worried about my vote getting counted but she said that it was received (which I already knew) and that they are all put into a vault and then run through a machine on election day. This being WV I was very skeptical that things would go properly but the woman reassured me and I feel better. I am just glad people are voting. Any which way it goes. its a good thing for our country.
-
Requested absentee and handed it into an early voting site.
-
We voted already. In person.
Do not want some lazy mail person dumping mail that might have my vote like they have been seeing up north there.
-
Voted by mail as soon as I got my mail in ballot early last month. Wife did same.
-
Wife and I voted last week, dropped off at official drop box on Monday. Got an e-mail Wed. saying it had been received. Got a mail Fri. that it had been accepted. Too easy and I know it will count.
In Colorado every registered voter gets a ballot by mail and you have several ways to vote. They also have something called ballot trax you can sign up for. Thus the mails on our ballots. Really like this part and they have had this system for 10 years. Seems to work well.
-
Call me old fashioned but I prefer to vote in person...
I really agree with the GOP... mail in is way to open to fraud
:salute
-
we voted by mail, checked in, it was received.

Mailed it off a few days ago! I'm sure no one or nothing i voted for will win because I have very little confidence in the integrity of our state elections in Oregon.
There is no way to vote in person here. It's a shame, really. I love going to the polls and voting. Mail in voting takes away the pride of it, IMO. IMO, no vote should be counted after election day. Thats one of many of the issues I have with it because it turns into "oh look we found 80,000 votes in a closet that just so happen to give our candidate the win".

Or mail in/absentee votes from people that have died years ago but just happen to still be in the system as registered voters

Every year there are many illegals that vote and even tick the box that says they are not a citizen. Unfortunate.

Um, no. The Illegal Immigration Reform and Immigrant Responsibility Act (IIRAIRA) of 1996 prohibits such.

Yes it does prohibit such. They still find votes counted marked as such. Every year.
-
I will vote in person on Tuesday. My wife voted early at the courthouse last Tuesday.
requested and received absentee ballot. mailed in last month.
Who did you vote for, for West Virginia Governor? No judgement, just curious.

Ballots do not have such a 'tickmark.' Non-citizens rarely make it on the rolls, such is by accident.

Don't jinx it. So far this seems to be a civil discussion about voting. :)

You people just don't get it do you?
No politics. Voting = Politics
SMH.
Dale needs to bring the suspension hammer.
(And where I'm from we have more people voting than residents--mostly non-citizen illegal voters. It's corrupt as hell. Just a fact.)
EDIT IN: For clarification this doesn't happen in every single town down here, just some of the smaller ones (the famous story of Alton which had more P.O. Boxes than residents by a far cry comes to mind--and this was actually reported on, shockingly enough.) In the larger towns they just vote on behalf of dead people or by claiming to be someone they aren't. Any efforts to clear up the voter rolls get shot down by corrupt judges and the like. It's a giant scam and always has been. Even Texas Monthly wrote about it, which is also a shocker.

Just a false perception. But have fun playing here. :)

My family is filled with Federal Agents, including my father (killed in the line of duty), two uncles, brother, and brother-in-law for starters. A dozen of the kids I grew up with are with ICE, USBP, the Marshal Service, and Texas Rangers, among others. People get busted down here all the time for voter fraud along with backdating birth certificates via the black market to get people citizenship--and a thousand other things you don't even see in the movies.
Brig Marmolejo. Start there and work your way outward. Nigeria has nothing on corruption compared to the RGV. It's our Gold Medal Olympic sport.

Lots of friends in CA have told me when they present their voter ID card and/or driver’s license they are told by poll workers they are not allowed to ask for or show that to them...so Yah there are a lot

when you vote by mail, you don't show id either.

The thread should never have been started. You guys love to tweak Dale to see how much you can get away with.

The wife and I voted Last Monday, in person. The local paper said as of last Monday morning over 50% of the county's registered voters had voted, meaning in person, not mail. Early voting goes through today.

Haven't voted but watching.

You know it is bad when Vraciu is telling people not to talk about politics.

The Man has politely asked numerous times. Out of respect for him it’s the least we can do.

I dont think you are...
This is just a poll ...pretty sure not all polls are political.
Would love to hear about voting concerns but as you stated we cannot do that here...
Now go vote if you haven't already!

Voting and politics are joined at the hip.
I'll be more than glad to discuss that other stuff privately. There were some vote fraud busts a couple days ago--a drop in the bucket I'm afraid. I just looked and the Texas Monthly article on Brig Marmolejo is online. It gives just a mild idea of what life is like down here. And if you want to have nightmares read about what happened to Mark Kilroy back around 1989 during a Spring Break jaunt into Mexico.
Cheers.

America has become the Tower of Babel II, so if you don't know the story you should go read it.

Ah, the language/culture/flood hangover barrier.

Except that story is a parable/prophecy about Christianity not nation states.
