Classiest of them all. :salute

he was my favorite Bond. I remember my old dad saying that Roger Moore was better because Connery wasn't handsome enough to play the role. LOL. Who was your favorite Bond? I like them all! lol well Pierce Brosnan...maybe not so much, but he did have the classiness.

Connery shares my favorite status with Daniel Craig. I like them both for different reasons. Connery for nostalgia and Craig for action. Both for cool.

Life long James Bond fan since 1962. I remember that Time Magazines' cover had an aerial picture of fans in line to see Goldfinger that stretched more then a block. For those of you who weren't around then they were the most popular Films during the 60s'. Sir Sean Connery was undoubtedly my favorite Bond followed by Daniel Craig.
Bond..........James Bond. BTW a gentlemen by the name of Vic Flick a guitar player, was the first to play the James Bond Theme on the guitar for the sound track.

Connery IS Bond. Never even watched one with craig... never thought he would make a good Bond.

Craig is what Fleming had in mind when he wrote the novels, I think. Connery and the others were too elegant.
That said, Connery was one of those 1950s-1960s "tough guy" actors who basically played himself, in a variety of roles, and did it superbly.

Sean Connery put the "Bond" series on the map. Before he did the movies they were just a few books. If you didnt have Connery, you never would have have Daniel Craig. His class and delivery is what made Bond and every other "Bond" is compared to him.
As an actor he was very good. He put everything into each role. If those rolls were not that great he still pushed them for all he could. Great actors like him are few and far between. Who comes close today to him and other actors of that generation?

He is certainly deserving of his own thread and not attached to this one!
Each one was exceptional in their craft and life.

I read some articles over the years where he helped with disaster relief on his Caribbean island. Well into his 70s, he pitched in and rallied others to get the job done. :salute
