Title: Slow Downloads

I have .5 gig internet yet the downloads here are amazingly slow.  Is there any way to speed them up?

Just because you have 500mbps broadband doesn't mean the slow speed isn't a result of your Internet connection.  Run a tracert to see if there are any issues or bottlenecks on any of the hops to the servers.  There could be a myriad of issues causing the slow speed.

You can also run pingplotter to trace any issues in your internet route.
