Or how about the...
Gloster Gladiator
Learn to use head-ons against bombers, cause you can't catch them.
Learn to kill enemy aircraft with 4 .303 Brownings.
Become the master of turn fighting, because you can't do anything else.

We already have this- it's called the c202. (http://bbs.hitechcreations.com/smf/Smileys/default/wink.gif)

Sorry Karnak, bot NO. 109E was there before and in greater numbers.
Only after Emil you can have the Hurricane. And it is a dweeb ride.
Damn opportunists (http://bbs.hitechcreations.com/smf/Smileys/default/frown.gif)

Actually I am very surprised we don't have a Battle of Brittain plane set. VERY surprised.
Needed:
Hurricane MkI (and MkII? Maybe the cannon varient used in Afrika, just for fun)
Spitfire MkI
Bf109E
Bf110
He111 (crap, but historically necessary)

Oh, and once we get those it would make sense to add the Dewo and Potez I have been axing for to do a Battle for France scenario (http://bbs.hitechcreations.com/smf/Smileys/default/wink.gif)
(I would prefer Fokker's for Norway and Holland use, but Frenchy planes would be more popular I suspect.)
-
Spy for what do you want those planes?
no use in MA, no RPS and, over all, no TIME to model them all in the short order.
Dont expect many early war planes modelled in AH, as HTC made clear that they will focus in latewar planeset...and with the perk planes coming, they will focus in some after war planeset too (http://bbs.hitechcreations.com/smf/Smileys/default/smile.gif)
At least that it seems (http://bbs.hitechcreations.com/smf/Smileys/default/smile.gif)

I think the D.520 was pretty rare in the Battle of France. MS 406 and Curtiss Hawk are probably more historically relevant.

Not so rare...but anyway D520 was way more used than the other french fighters because they saw service in France, Vichy France, Italian, and German hands. In 1944 some German training JGs saw some combat in D520s...
Try to find where did Blochs go after 1940 (http://bbs.hitechcreations.com/smf/Smileys/default/smile.gif)

Yeah, such is the pain of a late war-only planeset (http://bbs.hitechcreations.com/smf/Smileys/default/frown.gif)
Missing so much of an epoch conflict.
Still, scenario's were a big part of what kept me in AW for so many years. God knows the FM sucked. Oh, and the price was very attractive (I will never pay-by-the-hour).
But I digress: When we get to the point of having a roughly complete sim, scenarios will become more and more important. And you can only fly so many campaigns in 1944-45...know whut uh mean Vern?
-
LOL. Hristo got it. (http://bbs.hitechcreations.com/smf/Smileys/default/biggrin.gif)
Of course any 1940 plane would be meat on the table to the monsters we've got. Imagine going at a P-47 or B-17 with 8 .303s. (http://bbs.hitechcreations.com/smf/Smileys/default/smile.gif)

actually I can think of one RAF AC that would fit in quite nicely-- Hawker Tempest
(http://ww2.esn.net/~saved4sure/AMMO.jpg)
-
How about the Hurri's with 10+ .303s (http://bbs.hitechcreations.com/smf/Smileys/default/biggrin.gif)
Torquila-first person to kill a b17 with a c.202 (http://bbs.hitechcreations.com/smf/Smileys/default/tongue.gif)
-
Why bother with the Tempest? Just fly an F4U-1C. It'd be the same, e.g. a BnZ cannon bird.

Oh, I got it too... think about the c202 a moment. (http://bbs.hitechcreations.com/smf/Smileys/default/wink.gif) I guess I was a little too obtuse...

You forgot the JU87 Stuka in battle of Britain plane Set Skyhawk. Maybe possible to have battle of britain scenarioes or an seperate arena In the future, along with pacific arena but then ya gotta have the KI84and Hellcat....... (http://bbs.hitechcreations.com/smf/Smileys/default/cool.gif)
-
36 Dewoitine D.520's participated in the battle for France. They were fielded in 3 12 plane elements.
total french fighters were as follows:
278 MS.406
98 hawk 75's
140 MB.151/152
36 D.520's
-
Well, nobody asked me, but I agree that the RAF needs another fighter added. I don't think it should be the Spit (any model) or Hurricane. I think it should be the Boulton & Paul Defiant. Now that would be a plane that would really add something... uhhh... different, yeah, that's the word, to the game. (http://bbs.hitechcreations.com/smf/Smileys/default/smile.gif)

(btw, this post is a joke, take seriously at your own risk)

I second the bolton paul defiant. (http://bbs.hitechcreations.com/smf/Smileys/default/smile.gif)
-
YES, Defiant. (http://bbs.hitechcreations.com/smf/Smileys/default/biggrin.gif) No sim has ever modeled it to my knowledge. If we ever do night fighting then this aircraft would actually be a very good choice to model.
(For those of you who don't know about this plane, it had a turret with 4 .303s in it. It shot down 60+ 109s during the Battle of Britain before the Germans figured out what it was. After that, well ... um ... guess. (http://bbs.hitechcreations.com/smf/Smileys/default/wink.gif) )

YEs, but hundreds of them saw service up to 1944...how many MS406 were flying in 1944? (http://bbs.hitechcreations.com/smf/Smileys/default/smile.gif)

Excellent troll, as only about half the guys here have understood the sarcasm of the original post! S!

bolton paul defiant.. cool.. with the dome gun ;-)
I think I remember that Pyro would love to do a plane with a second gunner. Would be cool.. think he was thinking of a Messerschmidt himself..
