Been a very long time since I've been around. Long forgotten I'm sure. Long story short, I started flying in the early 90s on Kesmai - Air Warrior 1, 2, 3. Did a lot of work on that game, programming, sound effects, graphics...tech support, arena monitoring...all the way through EA.com purchase,....and then flew Aces High 2 for quite a while, donating sound files to Dale and Pyro, and I think I actually designed one of the first logo. Which somewhat resembles what it is today.
I have forgotten the extreme learning curve. I have to get the computer in order. Still using my Saitex x52 and a Dell Inspiron desktop, which I am sure I could use some advice on a graphics card. The X52 controls aren't working right in game. Throttle is backwards etc..
Hope I don't embarrass myself too much getting back in the game :)

Yeah I remember you bud! Good to hear you're still vertical! Things have progressed some graphics-wise so it sounds like your PC is gonna need a bump.

select throttle in map controls, click advanced tab and then select invert axis. That should fix the throttle. All buttons can be easily mapped, just press the button when in map controls and select the function, then click OK.
If you have any other issues or concerns plz ask in the help and training forum and you will receive plenty of help.

LOL.........my first death in air warrior was to animl. Wow......27 years ago.
The ease with which I was dispatched brought me to the "quit or learn" scenario.
Glad I didn't quit then.

Welcome back Animl.... good to see ya!
I say it has been several blue moons since last saw you posting on the AH message boards
heh, icepac, just realized Monday Night in the AvA that I just passed the 21 years flying Aces High this past October.... at which point I was flying AW, AH, FA, Targetware's TR, and started dabbling with IL2 somewhere in a 3 year range there back then... and Dmd Zanth was having some of us Damned checking out WB's 3.0 or something like that beta....

WOW! I thought I would be in a desert of unknown faces/names. I remember all of you. :) It's going to take a while to get up to speed. I won't have much problem flying,....it's getting everything in order, a lot of programming, and PC upgrade. Wondering what a good video card for my PC would pull the weight. My home built gaming PC was turned to dust in a lightning strike. Kinda stuck with a store brand for now. Thanks for the welcome.

Thanks, it will start coming back to me, you guys have made many advancements,.... for the better, as usual. I see I still have some hardcore pros to fly against, and that is always a great sign. :)

If you are ever feeling down about your flying.... look me up.... we'll fly together. That will surely make you feel much better about your own ability. That is if you don't pass out laughing.

I remember that. We had some fun in the event arenas, and I used to be in the AW3 Gunfighters with you - thanks for that. Kesmai's servers were always coughing blood.
I'm thinking it might be fun to rejoin, too.

Animl, I remember you from Air Warrior days. :aok
I think I met you in person at an AW con, maybe the one in Los Angeles area when we went to Planes of Fame Air Museum with Blue Baron and other folks. Or maybe a later one in San Francisco area.
Glad that you're coming back. :aok
We are keeping alive scenarios here (like the ones DoK used to run in AW days). I hope that you can join us in March for our next one.

Welcome back bud. I also recently came back after a 9 year absence.....after flying for so many years through Air Warrior (I think I only just payed off those dial up fees from my youth).
A lot of good changes here, although you may find the Arena to have shrunk a bit. A good night now consists of 150 instead of the 300 to 400 that we saw "back in the day".
Check six. :)
