Title: Connection Issues - repeated booting, West Coast
Post by: diaster on February 19, 2021, 11:44:06 AM
I am going to describe what I experience. Upon logging in. I get the "zone alarm" firewall message (aces high already has permission). I click cancel, then log in on the log in screen, slight pause then the servers show, but the ping on main server is --- not the usual 60 0r 66 etc. other servers show pings but not ww1
I click on it to join, get and an unable massage, would I like to try again? I do try again and then after few seconds of frozen mouse, the server loads and I am in. In the game all is normal until it isn't. Soemtimes I notice that I am no longer online when my message to squad or team, doesn't go through or my voice coms aren't responded to, my inet status is a straight line (minor jiggles) in variance. Then out of the blue, it is poof to desktop, sometimes no warning. Today, logged in lasted about 15 minutes. when i tried to come back it said arena closed, 0/1000 then it said 10/1000 thinking it was a war win reset, i went back in, more than 40 in game and flying. with that description out of the way...
I know about the connection issues, i seen the post by hitech, I seen the not flying today post.. I am posting this to ask others with connection issues, if what I am experiencing is similar to others... Just trying to make sure nothing on my end got corrupted or, went sideways. Guys from Europe and East coast and even Oregon do not seem to be having the issues I have seen, reason for the double check. Thank you in advance for your input.

I'm having the same issue, and I'm in CA also.

I'm sure the network is bottle necked somewhere along the way to HTC.

:old: thank for the info.   Update. I ran a trace route then used a ping utility. Dallas, big bottleneck huge packet loss, then frontier net, timed out. Had some burps in San Jose but no timeout.   Sigh... my poor autopilot afk planes. “Plane was shot down while you were offline kinda messages suck. On a funny note, got booted right after takeoff, the p47n  :airplane: with full load out... landed on hill. Lol  :bhead

At least yall can try.... I got my water back on except in one shower. It will not be repaired until they repair my office. They have to take down a stone wall in my master shower.

I cant connect either. I live in the Seattle/Pacific North West area too. VPN would work, but you'd have to find one on the like East coast right? Maybe from the same city/area as some other guy that is actually on AH.

have them go through the back wall. I had a shower with a leak behind it, instead of hacking out the stone tile, i went thruouh the bedroom dry wall, only works with shared walls to be sure

Would be the way to go except that wall is a pantry for towels on the other side. Tight working area.

With a free cloud account you may be able to set up a VPN/Expressroute with a login location somewhere geographically near you and point the other end at the AH server and get around routing issues.

It's fixed but the routing issue was the last 1 or 2 hops.
