On Thurday I had received a call from my mother that no son wants to receive. April 22nd early afternoon on interstate 15 Murrieta California our youngest brother Garret was taken from my family. Garret just turned 18 and was driving to his first day back to school when he was killed by a driver reportedly suspected of being under the influence. Garret was an athlete who loved competing in cross country but only if it didnt conflict with going to church. He was the youngest of 4 brothers and protective uncle of one. Garret loved his school and his community. Garret was accepted into Cal state channel islands to become a marine biologist and was so excited to be going. My father was so proud and never got to see his son attend college. After much thought our family decided to honor my youngest brothers memory by giving a deserving child the chance my brother was robbed of. Many of you probably dont remember me and it has been a while since iv played but I'm asking for your help.
