P-40N of the 7th Fighter Squadron, 49th Fighter Group, flown by Nathaniel Blanton in late 1943. The 49th FG operated in New Guinea against the Japanese and conducted missions of all types; air superiority, bomber escort, and ground attack. Blanton is credited with downing four Zekes.
This aircraft features white theater markings on the wing leading edges and tail. A pattern of medium blue diamonds adorn the rudder and the same color is used on the prop spinner along with a white stripe (most artwork has the entire rear of the spinner in white, but this is incorrect). The main camouflage is OD green with scallops of medium green on the outer edges of the wings and stabilizers over neutral gray on the undersides. The reference photo for this plane is from an angle that can't be used to confirm the pattern of medium green, but other P-40N's in the 49th FG definitely used this pattern.

Did you blur the background? The screenshot is so vivid it almost looks like a photo of a model plane.

These are straight from the film viewer. I flew a sortie over a part of the New Britain SEA map to capture these.
