Very lethal.

The 7S Army's equivalent was the M2 90mm gun.  The M2 was used in the same roles as the 8.8cm Flak 18.  It was just as lethal, if not more lethal than then Flak 18.

I am not sure if he is talking about total rounds fired to kill a AFV or total number of hits to kill an AFV.

Remember the 88mm flak was already used in the invasion of France, or even before that, so it's golden days was before heavy tanks were used in larger numbers at the eastern front.
One reason it shot again against a already disabled tank was to set in on fire so it could not be repaired and reused.
