Thank you to Lyric1 for finding me for finding me the info for this skin. This includes some 43 photos of it, many from the Smithsonian National Air and Space Museum where it is currently being restored.
"Flak Bait" was a B-26B of the 322nd BG, 449th BS and flew 207 missions over Northern Europe, more than any other USAAF bomber in the ETO theatre. During its long career it had three crews, collected 1,000 bullet and flak holes, returned with one engine out twice and with hydraulic and electrical system failures twice.
