Title: .target offline practice no hits
Post by: Orbitson on November 03, 2021, 10:14:40 PM
I tried spit16 and yak3.  no hits @ 250
Am I missing something in the arena setup?

When you select a target with TAB you'll see a green cross or two. Put your gunsight on the green cross.

Thanks FLS but this new thread is about the  .target offline target practice tool.  not lead computing sight.
I setup a target at 250...empty spit 16 clips into the target and get no hits.  I have some glitch here.
Any suggestions to fix?  Thanks for your help.

Sorry I misread that. No idea why you aren't seeing hits.

dI'd you zoom in to view the target? I think the rings are ten feet so a round dosen't make a very big hole.

Do you see sprites and no holes?  Or no sprites?  If you're seeing sprites and no holes, try zooming in.  The holes can be pretty small.  If you're not seeing sprites, no clue what to say.

Wiley.

I see sprites.  When I zoom in I barely see the holes. I'm shopping for new glasses now
Thanks for your help!!

I think the best use of the .target function is to see where you hit at distances other than your convergence point. It also shows the dispersion of hits so you can see how the hits at long range generally have less density. This is why you can see a hit sprite but there is no noticeable damage.

It's difficult to see a .30 caliber hole at 25 yards, never mind 250.   :aok
